Hey, Urine Sample - I mean Specimen (same thing)

I got my wheels at the Birmingham leisure Show - they were on the Johnson outdoors stand, so any of the Ocean Kayak dealers should have them. They fit the scupper holes and are adjustable for any Yak width. Wheels come off by just pulling an R clip. It is very simply made and as SM suggests - Golf Trolley wheels would be ideal. I have to say that the scupper holes method is the way to go - use the ones under the seat, that way the whole rig is very light on the bow eye, even without gear in the stern. It also is easy to manoeuvre about on the wheels with them being nearer the middle.

Hope that helps.

Yakity Yak - I hope you come back. It looks like light winds the wekend - but a bit overcast and possibly wet, nay, very wet.

Where would I be heading for if we were going to launch in the search for something to wriggle on the end of a line? - I mean, give me a town to aim for so I can look it up on the road atlas and work out how to get there. Poole is about a 5 hour drive from here. SOTON nearly 4. Hence why I need to plan!

Cheers,

Simon.

Yakity - Now I know it is Exmouth I know how to get there! I used to live in East Budleigh and my boat was stored at Chris Tremlett's yard Topsham.

Now I know where you intend looking for a plaice - off Dawlish warren! It has been known for years, but I have yet to catch one - just big flounders take my bait! I used to fish the hole just upstream of the wreck off Cockwood. The wreck has gone now, and the hole has washed away.

I think it might be worth baited spooning if you can get some ragworm. Peeler is obviously the best choice - if can get some from the bait man at Cockwood i'll buy a load because I can't get any - too far inland!

Cheers for now,

Simon.
