What A PRAT!

What an absolute PLONKER :wallbash:

The idiot was on the UK main land while a full scale search costing thousands and utilising services which could have been need else where.

He needs a hefty fine to cover all cost involved

Saw this on the news this morning Ken, very very odd.

With the search and rescue bill reaching 10's of thousands he should get hammered.

If he has/had a wife he probably will be :)

Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be.

He does have a wife - this is the same guy as in the miracle diver thread - see that for his original version of events. As you can imagine the rumour mill here is in overdrive. He's made front page news on the local press pretty much every day since he disappeared.

It was apparently down to the National media coverage that someone in the UK tipped local police off.

The full and exact sequence of events will take some time to come out and there are still quite a few unanswered questions. It's a small island here and people do gossip. We may not ever know why it all happened, and I do feel sorry for his family.

Very little sympathy for the bloke. No matter what he was trying to cover up for there are loads of other ways that he could have done it without involving all the other people who put themselves to no little trouble and inconvenience because of him. I hope he gets the bill for the whole operation. Apart from which it was a stupid lie in the first place. As nomoretequila says anybody who knows even the slightest bit about the sea or diving around the Channel Islands would realise straight away that his story about being in the sea all that time was highly suspicious at the very least.

Saw the report in the early hours of this morning it also showed the footage of his very elderly father sobbing and hugging the people who found his "missing" son.

How could he put his own father and other family through that?

I reckon he was off with some little floozy and needed a way to cover it up, his wifes gonna kill him LOL.
