We've got our own mini Holland just across the water from the real thing - The Norfolk Broads!! There's some absolutely huge Perch in the Broads. I've had a number of 3lb+ fish and about 70% of them

4.08 is my best, but that was over 20 years ago when such a fish made headlines. In those days the species was recovering from perch disease and there were very few big ones about.

Great fish ... but what's with that line - looks like luminous anchor cable! :-)

 

It came out weird didn't it! It's yellow 10lb braid.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

Yep, a 2 lb perch is not to be sniffed at from anywhere, and the smaller the water, the better a two-pounder looks.

had 2lb'rs from both. The one from a large scottish loch was by far the better looking. Very black back big prehistoric looking hump behind the head. The small water where kinda muddy but still braw looking perch :P
