Well for what it's worth, here are a few of my PB's:

 

Cod - 4 1/2 lb

Ling - 2 lb

Mackeral - 2 lb

Coalfish - 6 oz

Weaver - 6 inches

Flounder - 10 oz (ish)

Bass - 0

Any other sea fish - 0

 

What I think I'm saying is, any fish will be good.

 

What will we be looking at catching and what sizes?

COD should be done no probs

ling ditto 2-12lbs

coalfish 1-9lbs

bass 5oz-5lbs

 

i was catching clean green cod all year round so there should be no probs with them going off, was catching red ones through them though.

Do you get many Torsk up that way ?

 

The Forth estuary generally does seem to have slightly larger mackerel than the west coast ( different breeding grounds? ) - although when boat fishing Loch Fyne last november we hit some nice 2lb+ mackerel.

tork or tusk? if tusk relation of the cod family then yes.

Think it's part of the cod family - similar to a ling. Never caught/saw one but it's on my species list
