Scrabster II - The Anglers Net Empire Strikes Back

It will be good to be able to say "I was one of the Scrabster crew" though. Not many can boast to that.

Another thought, we should all make a list of our P.B.'s now and see how we do, after all, aren't we all "real anglers"?

What and show myself up David.

I may have caught "Lots" of fish (Used to have a creel boat so needed bait) and still catch loads of Coalfish, Pollock, Mackeral and Red Cod but it won't be hard for me to beat my PB's either so don't worry about it. Some of the "Scrabster crew" have decent PB's but I don't know if you can count dustbin lids as fish (Davy I am ducking as I type this ;-)

PS Here are some of my PB's

Skate 0lb

Porbeagle 0lb

Bass 0lb

Any type of dogfish 0lb

Ling Whatever the one I caught on the last Scrabster trip was

Well for what it's worth, here are a few of my PB's:

Cod - 4 1/2 lb

Ling - 2 lb

Mackeral - 2 lb

Coalfish - 6 oz

Weaver - 6 inches

Flounder - 10 oz (ish)

Bass - 0

Any other sea fish - 0

What I think I'm saying is, any fish will be good.

What will we be looking at catching and what sizes?

I did enjoy getting the Mackeral, it was just over a year ago at Methil breakwater on a fly/lure I tied up myself, unfortunatly I had to use a big rod. It was a tele beachcaster, and it's like a whip, struggled to get it up the wall.

If the Cod are still about then you could get a PB with ease. If the normal ones are off you could still get it with a red one.

As Gillies said PB for Coalfish will also be easy. Should manage 5lb + Pollock and you should beat your Ling PB.

Very good chance of PB for "Any other sea fish" but best if Thurso Angler, Big man, Scrabster dangler or Tuggs fill you in with their local knowledge.

Watch out for the Porbeagle!!!
