I Need Help

This is a serious request for help from any of you who have a few minutes spare.

 

On top of all the other issues I have here, Google appear to have completely removed http://www.go-fishing.co.uk from their index. I do not know why and, as this site was my biggest earning site (believe it or not!), this has seriously hit my income.

 

I can find no way of contacting Google personally and to request a re-inclusion, you have to agree to this:

The only thing I can think it will be, as it has been around for 8 years and never upset them before, is that it now contains quite a few expired links.

 

The software that runs it is fairly old and the link checker is not very useful.

 

This is where I'm hoping some of you can help me to remove the dead links.

 

I desperately need some volunteers who will be able to check a section of the site each. You will need to post your willingness here, and I will assign each section in order. You would then need to visit that section, and each additional page of it, and let me know all of the dead url's. I will then remove them.

 

This is quite a tedious task and I wouldn't want to do too much of it myself, as it would numb any brain. That said, I am in dire straits here and would appreciate any help, however little.

 

Thanks in advance to anyone with some free time and the willingness to chip un. And ho hard feelings to thos who can't.

I have found quite a few in the past but never though about telling you.

 

Would you want then pasing intt an email so you can dump them that way?

Pasting the broken ones exactly from your browser in an email would be handy.

 

At the bottom of each page, it says Next 10. There are 173 in that section, so it's not the smallest, but if most are okay, using the back button should make it fairly quick.

Also, with your knowledge you may be able to see any other reason as to what has happened. That site has been there since 1999, so I'm confused. Google do not appear to have a facility for contacting them at all.

I'm on it - might get some good ideas for a holiday while I'm there!

 

Have you tried the webmaster tools on google? I did this a while ago, so can't remember exactly, but after setting up an account, you have to verify the site is yours (just plonk a suitably named file anywhere on the site) and then you can run various checks on it.

 

In the meantime, the only way I know that you can "contact" google is their forum type thing. Not much use though really.
