Police statements say that the official search has been closed, but the rellies of the 'seamen' are mounting a private search. Questions being asked why there was no search for at least six days????

Was the laptop pluged into the the ships mains? If not it can't of been that long before being the baot being found that they were onboard.

The latest news, is that they were thought to have fallen overboard shortly after leaving Airlie Beach marina. The weather was bad, winds were to 40 knots and seas to 3 metres. All the Whitsunday islands 'en route' were scoured for any survivors.

I had just read this thread from start to finish and I was wondering the same thing, the lap top also bugged me a bit, could be plugged into the ships system, but again was still working so it had weathered the storm and lasted a further few days as well.

 

No mention of an emergency call either, if they were in trouble surely one of them would have got some type of call off unless they were all prevented from doing so by some one or something, the mystery deepens.
