JackPike 0
I never thought of using fishmeal based boilies for carp I have used them for barble and chub I know that ole chevin loves the spicy shrimp and prawn ones the barble seem to favour something with a bit of spice but I will give the Dynamites new oyster and mussel bollies a go when I get back onto the river. Dales 216
For me it would be Richworth Esterberry. Works a treat in Summer, not quiet as good in winter. But still use it as it is a confidence thing. I know I have caught on it before, so am not tempted to keep changing baits. RobStubbs 0
I would (and do) use mainlines' Active 8 all year round, have previously done the same with the Grange. Unless you are using a fishmeal bait there's no need to change with the seasons, and even fishmeals can work in winter - just stear clear of oily or high fat types. Rob. carphead07 0
spicy shrimp boilies or strawberry jam the strawberry jam boilies have a great sense of smell. but realy its all a matter of opion and different lakes, some lakes spicy shrimp may be a perfect boilie and it works realy well there and some lakes they might not work at all tight lines mike Edited May 13, 2007 by carphead07 mike finlay the carpinator
Bonzo 0
One of the lakes where i currentley fish produces really well on the peach and pepper boiles, but i think that it is because a vast amount of the anglers that fish on there are using them and nothing else at the moment. I suppose that sooner or later the capture rate will drop and they will have to find something else, but suppose while there putting fish (and some really good ones) in the net then thats whats its all about. just one more cast then I'am off home
