RMT Tube Strike

I know not many of you are in London but for those of us who use the tube every day to get to work I am extremely p****d off with Mr Crowe and his mob !

They've decided to strike for three days which effectivly shuts down 9 out of the 12 tube lines in London. This means that millions of ordinary workers like myself are unable to get into work. I am fortunate in that I have a laptop and can work (to a fashion) from home but most of these people can't.

They're striking over the fact that Metronet (the company that maintains these 9 lines) has gone into administration and they want cast iron guarantee's that their members pensions, jobs etc are all safe. Obviously the administrators can't guarantee what happens after they've finished but Mr Crowe seems to think they should ! No administrator in his/her right mind is going to give that guarantee so out they all go, for three days !!!

I suppose I might understand if they were doing this because something had been imposed on them but this is about taking pre-emptive action, which ultimately is mucking up millions of people's lives across London.

Bring back Maggie. Sorry, i do feel for you, not your doing but you will have the inconveniance care of people who don't care about you.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Well, If I had been working for a half decent publicy owned company for many years, (with all the security that working for a govmt gives you). Was hijacked by Mr Brown and one of his PPP pirates who pay f'all into my pension and milk the co of millions while sucking at the taxpayers nipple and then decided to throw in the towel cos 'it's too hard' leaving me looking at a barren retirement I'd be a tad peeved as well.

Got to agree with Toq on this its the failure of a private ppp company that can not deliver, not TfL the publicly owned partner.

This is all down to Maggie and her cult of privitisation, so I don't see what help she would be?

Tog, I agree with you but they are asking for something that neither the administrators nor Metronet can give, never mind the rights and wrongs of the PPP deal. The other two unions have obviously realised that and have withdrawn their decision to strike based on the same assurances that Metronet and the administrators gave the RMT.

I firmly believe in strike action where justified but this to me just smacks of Bob Crowe's own political agenda and he's making millions of people suffer for it, not least his own members.

At least Browns debacle with this PPP is out in the open now

- and once again red Ken was right! blimy me agreeing wiv him!!

Odd - cos i'm a 'right of center' type mainly - but I do think 'big stuff' should be owned / run by govmt:

Gas, Leccy, Water, public transport etc - should'nt be arsed about with by asset stripping co's who don't care what happens to their workers once they've looted the pension funds and sold off the land.

The Issue I assume the RMT is making - is that this PPP was 'doomed', Robber Brown is to blame and it's his job to fix it?

And of course the whole PPP thing is a gaping sink hole for our taxes (and our children's), I could make a good fist of a lot of stuff if I borrowed tons of money with no plans to repay it..........
