I've just heard that it is feared that a person who died in a helicopter crash today may be Colin McRae. I haven't seen any confirmation yet.

Just found out it WAS his helicopter, apparently :(

It doesn't sound good at all. I'd have expected to have heard on the news if it WASN'T Colin by now.

I hope it was an accident rather than a 'good night vienna' moment.

Always liked McRea as a rally driver I thought he was always one of the triers who was'nt content to pick up points as a second placed driver although he probably would have won more titles had he done just that and his rivalry with Richard Burns (another good one gone) pepped up a flagging series at just the right time

Even his management team aren't saying it's NOT him :(

I sincerely hope it's not. McRae is one of the few people on this planet that I genuinely admire.

His agent has said it WAS him!

Very shocked!

Two children and another adult, too. This is seriously tragic.

I dare say we'll hear soon who else was in the helicopter, but I've read various comments from people and have not seen anything from Robbie Head yet. One news report says that it was a friend from Colin's schooldays who was on board, with another child.
