That is the great tragedy Steve, whilst I have no problems with most of the licensed guys I get to meet, there is that small core of p***-takers who ruin it for everyone.

This simply confirms the ignorance of some individuals/groups. According to this, the support of the whole angling fraternity for a political party and government department + its leader depends on one decision about one species - "BASS".

My comments certainly weren't made out of ignorance. Nor were they based on one decision and one species.

They're based on my experiences both as an all round angler, and also a fishery manager running his own coarse fishing complex.

This current government has starved the Environment Agency fisheries department of money by drastically cutting back its funding. Yet it claims it's a friend of angling!

Further problem with this guy, the local council have vetoed any legislation regarding restriction on dredging for scallops in lyme bay over the voluntary agreement in place, as he is one that does dredge the bay we are to take him on trust. Yer right. Don't forget this one now has nine previous.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Missed this one. Far as i'm concerned, there are many issues that defra and this goverment are lacking on. This bass issue is just one. Shame there was not much support from the guys up the north east and scotland, it might have made a differance at that time. Feel free to name the individuals and groups as you now have confirmation of their ignorance.

Maybe anglers should start sell fish? That seems the direct way to being heard and ones needs and demands fulfilled rapidly. This new organisation got extra cod quota within days after the organisation's launch. Other people (anglers) are put on the backburner for years.

http://www.hastingsobserver.co.uk/newshast...-cod.3657081.jp Published Date: 09 January 2008 Fishermen win increase in cod quotaBy Sandra Daniels Local fishermen scored their first victory in the fish quota battle today (Wednesday). An immediate increase in the amount of cod they can catch was agreed by Fisheries Minister Jonathan Shaw to help the boats get back to sea.

Have they by magic found some new cod stock or are they talking about the juvenile stuff that haven't had chance to breed yet.

Wouldn't trust that paul joy with the stock neither, regarding his court case, he did not use his appeal in front of three high court judges to overturn an unsafe or incorrect judgement, he used it to challenge the legality of defra and lost again. He got away with minimal costs so he was a lucky thief of the stock at that time. Can't someone with a clean sheet be their rep it might be a bit more credible when they win an immediate battle with the fisheries minister. Hmmmmmm more and bigger fish?
