Exactly, and when our own troups returning from Afganistan and Iraq are treated so badly, not to mention the poor pensioners that are living in one room as they can't afford to heat their homes due to average 15% energy price hikes.

certainly makes you wonder. they seem very good at giving money away to poor countries whilst they have plenty of needy on their own door step.

Tell me Snatcher how much is it to see the Toon and a few pints on a Saturday? say £50-60, that would feed a family of four in India for two months. (actually I reckon that was a bit conservative, you could probably feed them for a year! )

 

Perhaps Brown sees India as a future trade partner, as he does China, and another aid package is earmarked for the Chinese as well. Just looking after business Snatcher.

Mr Brown always seems anxious to give our money to other countries at the cost of our own poor!

What did it for me was the fact that Labour goes on about the £200.00pa given to the pensioners - I wonder if they are going to be so mouthy about it now we know that in Ireland it is giving the pensioners £550.00pa.

There will be some cynical reason why we are doing it, Its not much more than a huge Back hander that will grease the rails when it comes to building factorys and explioting the local population,Also in the current political Climate its vital to keep the sub continant on side,
