At first glance it seems to be a horrendous waste of resources, but I'm sure it was probably treated as a training exercise.

 

I've seen similar items, which at first sounded daft....not quite as daft as this one though!

Snakey1, I see you're from the West Midlands but you don't say exactly where. I'm in Smethwick and I know people who regularly use "The Public".

Of course, they only use the coffee room and would no more pay to go into an art gallery than they'd paint themselves blue and light their own farts in the middle of the high street.

To get the good people of West Brom into a room in numbers, you need to be selling beer at 78p a pint which makes me wonder whether the idiots who came up with the idea for the gallery have ever actually visited the town.

 

BTW, they should have gassed the rat.

Don't start me please, the council was told it was a waste of public money ages ago when it was first

thought of but as we all know councilors will spend anybody's money.

We haven't a swimming baths, no youth clubs so they stick this monstrosity up, got better looking pigeon pens on our estate than this thing.

And its not paid for yet Joe publics got to pay for it.

OI OI,

I did a lot of work in smethwick in the 60-70 converting some loverly old properties in to flats what a wast but i suppose the people of little india have to live somewhere, last time i went to dudley hospital i thought it WAS an indian hospital i bet the nice big house in winston green is full to bursting as well. LOL
