Daughters boyfriend has been looking after sheep for a few years where he works. During lambing he would spend 24 hours at a time on site. The petrol plant had the sheep in to keep the grass short around the plant. He was promoted last year and no longer has the time to look after them. No one else was up for the job so the sheep have to go.

 

He went and bought a rather large chest freezer and there's only so much you can give away. Not allowed to sell it. So there were 80 legs of lamb and gawed knows how much meat. And it's not finished yet. There's still around 20 sheep left.

 

My missus has told me to get rid of the fish in the freezer to make room. So it's fish and lamb for the foreseeable.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Lucky you ,unlucky sheep .perhaps when we leave the EU we can afford to buy it again i must have carried thousands of NZ ones in my job in a food warehouse just before we joined the clan

Personally, I'm quite partial to leg of lamb, but I suspect you may be OD-ing on it his year.

Next time, if it should happen, sell the sheep to people, then get them slaughtered and butchered, that way it's legal.

Its also expensive as they need transporting to an abattoir killing then transporting back ,easier would be selling individual sheep killing them for the new owner and them taking the corpse away.

Saying that though i dare say theres reams of paperwork involved (i know pigs can now longer just be moved on a whim ,i remember a trip to a market with a couple of pig's and more than a few sheep in an A35 as a youth but things change) not sure how you move live sheep even individually today? Not many A35 vans about now

It seems you need a certificate to move a live animal unless its yours so you can buy it then kill it in the comfort of your front room so long as its not to far

 

Strange rules for stunning animals first ,if your using a shotgun i would think its quite stunned a microsecond before death
