Have fun ,not my idea of fun though i like opening my fridge and prefer less sputum  and wee in my food (i get enough with our processed food i have no doubt)

It will be nice to see some pictures tiggers chub and barbel are nice but we rarely see dusky ones.whatever you catch will be unbeatable except by a hand full of anglers in here so bragging rights assured lol

Sounds like heaven Martin compared to the freezing cold and wet weather we're having back home.

Well done, Martin!  If I understand right you are in Fuertaventura at this very moment. What bait are you using? You've cheered me up, do let us know if you catch anything else.

No John that was last time we went when I caught the little sharks - we don't fly just yet & I've decided to start off a less stinky way with some Krill flavoured Luncheon meat, some 6 mm Marine Halibut soft hooker Pellets & Bread.

If that doesn't do so well, I'll go & get some Calamari & Prawns but they soon start to Hum a bit in warmer climes.

That'll be very interesting to see how freshwater baits work in the sea. When I was in Lanzarote about 10 years ago there was a guy fishing with sweetcorn. To my surprise he said it worked quite well with the little stripey brightly coloured sea fish there.

I think i have mentioned it before but years ago i was sea fishing and waiting for a bite i wandered off to talk to the next chap along .

Bait came up and i said i only had rag ,black lug and squid ,he was reeling in and showed me his "best " bait it was those sugary sour string sweetie things ,i thought he was bluffing so didnt say anything but low and behold he strung a couple on his end tackle and casted out .He only had a carrier bag and there wasnt much in it certainly no newspaper which the local tackle shop sells his bait in .

Caught anything on them i asked ? Nothing he said 🤭 i think i may have bumped into folkestones care in the community chap ! As he said he tried yesterday with the same result!

I have never done well sea fishing with bits of freshwater fish as bait but always done better with sea baits rather than fresh in fresh water ,the salt i presume is a factor but sugar? Not sure haribo will suddenly become the new boily fad but you just never know! boilies are hardly a natural bait but fish overcome that factor
