Hiya, I'm looking for a source for an original Sou' Wester, not the plastic yellow ones you can get but the real thing that protects your neck as well. Can anyone give me a name where I can get one, cost is not an issue,online would be great. I've asked about, but no joy....I'm in Fraserburgh on Monday and was going to try chandlers etc but wont have the time. :(

I did a Google search for "souwester" and found loads of 'em.

 

Some are like this.

There are loads of designs ,in different materials.

Too many to detail here. :)

Chesters, What a guy, you've done it again.Thankyou. I love the site,and the stuff on it. I'm going to order one of his sou' westers. It's for my mate who has a farm and has wanted one for years. :D Thats another one I owe you.

newts one is a bit strange ,using the word "traditional" and "neoprene" in the same description :confused: surely they were oiled skins hence the word "oilskin"? i had one as a kid ,my mum said i went to bed in it i loved it so much :D
