I think that old seagull should be running on either 10:1 or 25:1, depending on which jets it has in the carb.

everyone harks on about more choice ,absolute crap no choice but 3 in petrol ,no tesco crisps in sainsbury ,no handy 2stroke trolleys on forecourts ,more choice even the 2 stroke oil is now a designer product for "scooter" using london types and now demands a huge price considering what it actually is

been out again tonight and she's running fine on 50:1 no probs. oh and more importantly 2 huge mackrell and half a dozen bass

The actual mix would be 5 litres of fuel to 0.175 pints (3 1/2 fluid oz.) of oil. That is 100 mls of oil - it's easier to keep everything in metric units. I once had a Seagull that ran on 10/1 mix! We never got lost, we just followed the trail of smoke back to shore!
