hiya. i havent been on for ages so im back now! right, i got a problem! does anybody know of a good hooklength material to use when surface fishing? i hane tried daiwa supersensor, e.s.p ghost monofil, and about 3 other types so can anybody help me out? many thanx b's

Why don't you buy a line flotant for fly fishing??

if i was you mate i would use wire 7 strand.as for surface fishing .i can recomend the mossboss

or the heddon mouse can't go wrong :cool:

Or Ultima Flo-cast which is hollow and floats high on the surface wthout needing any floatant and has some good reviews for fishing floating baits for Carp.

But can you get these floating hook length materials to sink? no good if you cant.I would just use a mono your confident in and just grease it up to the last couple of inchs.

Use some stealth and try dapping. That way you can use any hooklength you want! Nothing more exciting than hooking a carp under the rod tip!
