Sorry to hear your news MW. As far as I'm concerned, anyone who steps beyond the law should not have recourse to the law. In other words, if they are caught in the act, they deserve everything they get....

Unfortunately a lot of stolen stuff is now sold on ebay. I know the police check the site often because of that, but a lot still gets through :(

If you don't get your stuff returned safely, I hope you manage to replace it quickly.

You could also try cash converters, the local one here checks with the local tackle shops if any fishing gear comes in, (had a few folk caught that way).

Sorry to hear about it though.

I've been to Scrabster... and I want to go back!!!

Ken Davison South Wales:

To do that Skippy you have to catch the Bs first, and it looks like the police ain't interested.

Lets be fair to the Police Ken. In the original post Mr Wiggly said "

These guys were seen loading the stuff into a Volvo estate, but No: Plate not noted."

How can the police solve a crime if this is the sort of eye witness testimony they have to work on. It seems to me this crime could have been prevented had these witnesses intervened. Just about everyone has a mobile phone to call the police with and it would only take two cars parked in the entrance to that car park to stop the offenders leaving with the swag.

If the general public don't give a ****, how the hell are the police supposed to do their job.

As Ziggy says ... Fair Point.

It was one woman in a car on her own that told us about the Volvo ... the other 30-odd people just turned their backs and walked away.

Incidentally .. After the police had dusted the whole interior of the van for prints we had to endure a further 4 days of scratching ourselves like crazy. God .. That stuff itches !!!!!

SandPiper .. Thanks for the offer mate, but I live in the North.

Mike .. I may be in touch .. Give me a few days to get sorted.
