35lb tell him not to be so fussy, my opinion for what it may or not be worth is the higher in breaking strain you go the less critical it becomes.I too would agree sensor is the best comprimise on price and quality for rough/mixed ground fishing.

I use big game for most of my fishing and though not the thinnest is also a good comprimise of price and toughness. I change my rough ground line after every 2 or 3 trips anyway so it really doesn't make any difference.

But we all have our favourites and swear by them.

Not sure if the sufix is available anymore in 35lb pretty sure its 30 or 50lb only.

Hi Autumn,

The big favourite over the last few years for the Cod Bashers on Scotlands East Coast is Ultima Red Ice (and now their Black Ice which is clear)They do this in 35lb.

A lot of the guys wont use anything else.

Hasn't Gardner Tackle just lost the agency for Suffix? I thought Shimano or somebody had it now, could be wrong as usual.
