Would be nice to see someone turn up at Long Hole Robin hoods bay and give us a nicely prepared speech on bag limits and catch and release. Could you strap the soap box to your back as you need your hands free to get down the rope.

Me and darlick are considering getting our own soap boxes out to make bay fishing. Residents only.

Have you ever tried making a difference?

I have and I got an excellent result for a disabled friend of mine, sent letter to No. 10 got a reply from them followed up by one from Welsh Assemby and Sid was admitted to hospital within two weeks of the letter.

That's one idiot like me, what could 1,000,000 idiots do if they tried ?

I don't know ....what do you think Scotty T ?

But i can't understand why people are talking about the state of the seas when they know (deep down) that they cannot change the outcome!!!

Or if it is just for talkings sake , then what for??

What can be gained from it?

I have been close to death (twice) one with a car accident and the other pneumonia and believe life is too short to argue about something that is out of your hands.

Do you KNOW or HOPE that you will change the outcome ? (2 DIFFERENT THINGS)

I sincerely HOPE you change the outcome!

But until the idiots in power make up their minds we won't know either way

Regards

Fishing is fishing , Life is life , but life wouldn't be very enjoyable without fishing................ Mr M 12:03 / 19-3-2009

This is what I think...............

'But i can't understand why people are talking about the state of the seas when they know (deep down) that they cannot change the outcome!!!' If everyone had the same defeatist attitude we'd be really screwed, why do you think the are so many organisations trying to turn things round and make a difference, do you think they are all just wasteing their time for nothing?

'Or if it is just for talkings sake , then what for??' What for?? To do something about the state of our seas :wallbash:

'What can be gained from it?' Improved fish stocks in the long term :wallbash:

Life is too short your right, but doesn't mean we have to fill our boots, or fish boxes now and screw everyone else, what about future generations?

'Do you KNOW or HOPE that you will change the outcome ? (2 DIFFERENT THINGS)' We're not mind readers, so we HOPE things improve, but until we're all singing from the same hymn sheet that's going to be increasingly difficult.

'I sincerely HOPE you change the outcome!' How about WE change the outcome?
