RSA Strategy Consultation Launched

Recommended Posts

And if you REALLY care to ask around that is exactly what Mr Average angler wants.....And Mr Average accounts for 95% or more of the total of RSA.

Hi ron, mr average angler in my neck of the woods is having his sport severely bo**xed up by a commercial who insists on sticking a couple of fleets of nets along the bottom of a very popular beech,s groynes all this winter, you come down here and ask them what they want matey.

Beware the Fifth Column.

Their motives are not those of bona fide anglers.

Essex man wants all beach fishing competitions in Kent and Essex outlawed and no hooks smaller than 3/0 used from our beaches. (Yes, I have copies of his statements).

You will find VERY strong correlation between certain 'Fillet and Release' exponents and the commercial sector interests.

You've been warned!

Someone left this door open to them.

Forgive my ignorance as I am new here.

Who is Essex man? Why would he want competitions outlawed in Kent and Essex?

Who has he made statements to? What’s going on?

Why is that, do they clash with inshore netters then?

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

And if you got the so called 'GM' what would actually change other than all these fleets of nets you speak of would be at 1 mile? I suppose then it would be a 2,3,4,+++ mile you would want?

If you got the 'GM' IF....Do you not think the commercials will want something in return?....Think you will find you WILL end up WORSE off...

I don't think i would know how to make you laugh Glennk. Your getting near. You nearly named names. This is where someone has a different opinion to you, thats all. I don't want the men in suits running something that ain't broke as well. When they do i cannot see any advantage only to the men in suits, but the option to do nothing ain't an option. Your way of trying to resolve this is not very positive though.

Again Glennk, tell us the way forward, what do you recon aught to happen. Feel free to put your thoughts on paper.

The way forward is very easy Barry. If this is coming to us then you let them force it on us. There is no middle ground Barry, there is nothing would make a licence or bag limits stand up, it is a tax and its an erosion of our rights, ancient rights, by an over controlling government who seek to tax and regulate everything that was once free. What is sad is they sucked so may of you into their way of thinking along the line. What happened to that British spirit - fight for what is right ? not roll over and die. If SACN come to me and say well you now have to pay a licence but we got you some new toilets to **** in, do you think I'm gonna turn around and say "why thankyou for taking the time to secure this for me". Nah that aint gonna happen Barry. SACN are unelected and unrepresentative I cannot figure out how on this planet they have managed to get onto the "DEFRA’s Marine Science Advisory Group" this group SACN are tiny and do not represent anyone other than themselves.

This might sound negative, I dont want to sound rude but to be honest I'm not too fussed about your perception of me as an individual, you live the other end of the country and have never met me, what I care about is my fishing and my childrens fishing for the future, we dont want anyone representing us, we dont want someone giving away what we hold so dear.

Just out of interest what is it you feel I should be positive about from this strategy ? The toilets ? or the slipway ?

And you know the reason why very well indeed H.A! It was for the same reason you keep on with the commercial sector..The 'Targeting of undersize fish and bycatch'.For those that dont have a clue, anglers in Southend were running comps and targetting undersize Bass, counting each and everyone as 1 point in there beach comps.Undersize fish were needlesly dying in the name of beach comps. How can the RSA sector condone what the commercial sector do when they do the self same things themeselves? Again I was slated for daring to suggest anglers should be banned from using tiny hooks in comps and for daring to suggest what they were doing was wrong.Seems a case of 'Dont do what I do,do what I say'

Not a chance in a million years are you gonna get a golden mile. If your angling reps cant deliver to you 3cm in the length of a bass how they gonna deleiever thousands of miles of coastline. Time you took a reality check. A golden 500 yards is all your getting , if your very lucky.
