I have declined the flu jab for years (carers get them) but this year turning 65 i thought why not (seeing as its supposedly improved) bugger me if i didnt wake up in the night soaked to the skin raging headache and the physical strenght of a 6 year old.
I feel like crap even struggling to the bog is an effort ,mind you a lack of appetite could make me lose an ounce or so.
Not had flu for 18 years !

Chesters1,

Just a coincidence I am sure. You'll be fine in 24 hrs.  My flu shot often gives me a bit of quezeness (sp).  The vaccine the use now days is live.

Its no cold i have had plenty of those ,temp of 103 yesterday heartbeat of 100 at rest ,put the spare waterproof sheet on my bed to stop mattress getting wet !
284 steps yesterday bog and back and its only ten feet from bed lol not been further since monday
Probably high heartrate is the continual shoving off and pulling on of oversheet and the shivering in between
Strangely the headache and moaning bones and muscles are not cured by 2*30g codien every four hours paracetamol at 6 and a sprinkling of ibuprofen in between!
Grandaughter left a tube of echinea (sp?) Tablets nows the time for quack medicine!
Update they taste like burned plastic

OK - it's time to stop fooling around and begin getting better fast.  That's an order.
