  1. I'm sure i heard somewhere about women being the better driver.
  2. Haven't noticed any change TBH. Probably down to working outside all the time , i'm getting ready for Sunday though , Norwegian sector here i come.
  3. For what its worth , i (yes MrM ) reported the thread to admin because of the singling out of posters by others who seem hell bent on destroying any sort of worth in their postings , be it true or not. Victimize me all you like , i LOVE a bit of aggro , i actually thrive on it to be fair but what i have seen over the last couple of weeks has been an active attack on one person in particular. That person is Kleinboet. Although i don't agree with everything he posts up , i am in the majority of what he says , we have never met probably never will ,but the man takes the time and effort to put his views forward only to be criticized vehemently by some on here who believe that whatever the thread may be ....they know everything about the subject and that Kleinboet is spouting rubbish again. I often do and in future will stand corrected for my postings , i don't know everything , no-one does. In an effort to prove a point or gain some sort of self satisfaction in front of an lcd screen against someone you will never meet falls short for me and i don't understand why some posters do it. I am who i am , i post similar-ish replies to Kleinboet , i guess we are alike in what we see and understand along with what we believe to be right and wrong. For your interest , i am not fighting KB's corner , he does that very well himself. All the best and happy debating to you all. Mr M ...........the culprit.
  4. My tirade was exactly because of this type of cr@p. You along with others enjoy picking out posters and trying to demean them with bullsh1t like this. Not often you see or hear of women bullies but there you go.
  5. I'm going to upset a few on here who seem to enjoy being rather condescending and holier than thou. If you have all the answers and solutions to these sticky problems , then do me and all of us on here a big favour .....get off your arses and do something about it instead of looking over your glasses and down your noses at 'us normal folk'. You people are an absolute joke , quoting reference after reference knowing everything about everything. I'm calling your bluff , do something about it , you seem to have all the answers , DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!! Waffling crap and correcting people all day long , along with having snide digs at fellow posters is pretty childish and shows little respect (if any) if you ask me. I suppose its nice to have too much time on your hands though , eh? Mr M , wide awake.
  6. Close , but not close enough Emma. We have a right to LIVE. Without being mown-down , shot , stabbed , raped , buggered or whatever else you care to include in with us all being scared to bits about. And why shouldn't we feel agrieved about not wanting to die? It's the most basic and staple of all our natural in-born resources.
  7. Just love having the last word don't you? People are spilling their hearts out about personal family experiences and all you want to do is self right yourself and condescend. SPORTSMAN , well and truely on my ignore list , you're the first too , i like to agree to disagree with a lot of things but you seem to be something else. Happy slating , slurring and condescending to peoples posts , as your signature quite rightly states.
  8. A starving asylum seeker is greeted at Dover by a good fairy who grants him 3 wishes. The seeker says ..' i'm hungry' ..bam right before his eyes appears a huge feast fit for a king. With his next wish ' i want a nice house...' , bam , a mansion with en-suite in every bedroom and a swimming pool appears. His final wish , ' i want to be British..' , bam everything vanishes. 'wheres everything gone?' asks the seeker. 'you're British now and are entitled to f**k all' replies the fairy.
  9. Well , thats 3 posts back to back , i think we get the message. Jeeeeeeesus chrast. Some people have too much time on their hands me thinks. Asking for apologies too , ha. Apologies are given not asked for.
  10. It's all coming out in the wash now. Careful though , you'll get a racist badge. I've got a drawer full.
  11. This thread and it's attacks is the PERFECT example of what we are arguing about. Not being able to voice our thoughts without being crippled and branded a racist. Even the signatures of some are rather condescending to say the least.....tssk
  12. Whats Gordon Brown and Adolf Hitler got in common? Nothing!!! Hitler was elected into power and some people actually liked him.
  13. Nothing wrong with that statement Klienboet.
  14. We do live on an island , a very small island which , unknown to me , seems to have opened its doors and welcomed all and sundry along with the (might be into the millions now) of illegal immigrants that have risked life and limb travelling by whatever means to get over here. Its hardly rocket science to work out that the systems in place on our little island look after pretty much every avenue thats available or needed , this brings the masses over here and want a piece of what we have strived for...and many generations have toiled to get right. Our infrastructure is finally up and running , all be it , with some diabolical systems in place , that cater for the 'in the know customers' to milk dry to the bone. As i already said , i have no real beef with other races / walks of life , but i was brought up to believe and live what i was taught...nothing derrogatory or underhand , as it happens i happen to believe that i am a reasonable sort of chap that has been brought up knowing right from wrong and know where to draw the line. Introducing "rights" and shouting racist at the slightest of phrases is getting beyond a joke if you ask me. All stemmed from the 9/11 massacre if i'm to be honest. Since that day and i don't want to go into why it happened or who was to blame this country has been inundated with racist slurs / parades / rants / chants / offences against the white man who , until that day got away with whatever he did on a day to day basis. The fact of the matter is that the day gave every none white , none christian man woman and child a ticket to throw any kind of insinuation of racism at poor old joe bloggs. Maybe right in some of the accusations but 9 times out of ten the allegations made to the men were (if you were to tear it apart and the 9/11 massacre never took place) would be totally unfounded. I don't dislike pretty much anyone , i personally think / know that there is good and bad in all walks of life , what i strongly object to is the parades and chants at the airports while pine boxes are loaded off planes with OUR men and women in them by these people who call us racists. How about i call them racist for not liking me and labelling me a racist? Its the same dog isn't it? For this i will stand by my initial posting and restate that i am a racist , not by choice but by upbringing and i dare say that if you read THIS ENTIRE POST and not just scroll to the bottom and slur me , then deep down you may feel the same. What the last paragraph states isn't pretty but it happens to be true and something i stand by. Rewind to pre 9/11 and this debate may never have crossed any of our minds.
  15. Very VERY well put Chevin. Strange that (in this country) 'we' are branded racist for pretty much everything by the above in every aspect and manner that is open for it , yet not much slagging is thrown back the other way. As KenL stated i will also add that i am a racist , not proud but thats who i am. If the world and it's laws want to change at a 1000 mph with ridiculous rulings and human rights bills AND expect people to abide and conform to them without so much as a by your leave , THEN throw accusations of being racist without any sort of reasonable foundation or forwarning then i will state that what i have grown up believing , hearing , learning , gestating , and accepting as normal to be just that. Having to accept new rules is a common day place , especially in this radically changing life that we now live in and is becoming a b@llache if you ask me , not being helped with being branded a racist along the way. People are who they are , traits and manorisms ground into them from birth , seeded into them from generations multiple times over , yet we are not to upset anyone in this new modern life we now lead. Baa Baa rainbow sheep everyone
  16. After tonights show the BNP can only grow in numbers. It could be the biggest balls-up ever!!! It was blatantly obvious that the 2 parties had their stalls set out to slur the man along with the 2 other slate-monkies. ****AND FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH**** i am not pro-BNP , but the man does have "some" decent ideas mixed in with the other vile outlooks of his party. I feel that whoever was watching the show tonight , well anyone with a lower than average IQ may just have his vote. Unlike me to be totally controversial and go against the grain , i believe it WILL take something as radical as his ideas(maybe not his party) to bring this country back to a bit of normality because , at the moment , ridiculous and unbelievable stories of mass money loss (billions of £) and children being beaten to death under the noses of social workers , insurance scams and christ knows whatever else happens is increasingly becoming the norm. Under the reign of this kind of rule and acceptance ...what will be next? Change is NEEDED ...NOW!!! Mr M (NOT B.N.P) but agrees with a bit of it.
  17. Watching it now and think it's going to be fun. The masses outside the BBC are a bit disgusting though.
  18. Colin , this is all part and parcel of this countries great theory of 'suck it and see' , 'trial and error'. The sept 30th event has created a severe headache for myself as an aerial engineer. Trying to explain to the older end of our generation , who already have had a tough time having the digital era shoved onto them that their STB or IDTV with the 2K COFDM platform won't conform to the new structure, along with the "well it said digital on the box" and various other quotes i hear i can wholeheartedly agree with the customer , who , is having to pay the phonecalls - call out charges and inevitably a new STB or IDTV to get around the problem. The sept 30th debacle , was , in my eyes an attempt to bring the countries attention smack bang right up-to-date with what is actually happening with it all and nothing to do with compression and facilitating for HD. I still have to explain to a majority of customers that not only will there be need for a digital interface , be it a STB or IDTV but if the customer does a lot of recording then a seperate (digital) recording device would be neccesary for that too. OK , it is possible to record with the standard VHS recorder but when i try to explain to some , esp the older end , the look on their faces when i say "select ext1 on vcr , select the channel on the STB...." paints a picture on their face which isn't nice. The switchover is going to be something very big , something which this country is going to have to adapt to , the sheer scale of it hasn't been grasped by , well , anyone yet. That it why it is being introduced in stages , the 1st happened last wednesday and that's only the first of possibly 4 , maybe 5 major changes , some of which could-should be minor and go un-noticed the others well who knows.. The governments criteria that it MUST have a media source of some sort going out to the public , along with the switchover bodes good and bad points , it just happens that the above(government) are making and absolute fortune from the switch , my last seminar i went to the number had risen dramtically but thats another story. heres a link for you guys experiencing loss of channels. http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/how_do_i_switch...ng_instructions Navigate to the bottom of the page and click on (equipment affected by switchover 2K list) The most popular brand i've seen so far to fail are HITACHI , oh...add SHARP IDTV to the list too. Hope you give them some stick as my job is a bit of a b@llache at the moment.
  19. Is it more common for women or men to suffer heart disease emma?

  23. No Emma , but he DOES have a job which in turn involves paying monies to the state via taxes that in turn gets paid back out into all kinds different ways including the benefits system. Not everyone likes or loves their job , i am an exception to the case but thats by the bye. I would say that anyone who does actually work would like to live the life of riley ; enjoying fun free time either with their family , pastimes , hobbies , hell even watching tv , but it simply doesn't work like that now does it? Because if it did then there would be no monies paid into the system to be paid back out now , would there? Slating good honest hard working folk doesn't at all with me , my dear. As was already said on here , the taxpayer should have more of a say than a non taxpayer , after all it IS THEIR MONEY that is being spent. Twist , connive and turn it on its head whichever way you like but the above last line is 100% true.
