Has anybody seen a decline in there catches of specimen pike from the rivers?

I watched a sport for all season on sunday night and I have to say it was quality,I'll watch going against the flow tonight.

Well I have to say I am stunned,as it arrived this morning,five days after I ordered it,I wasn't expecting it for another six weeks at least.

One of the club baillifs for bradford no 1 got thrown in at kirklees lagoon a few weeks back.somebody called the police and they came,but they said there was nothing they could do about it It must be easier doing speeding drivers .

It should probably be called fool the angler.

I ordered mine yesterday,I don't think its been released yet but you can preorder it,the problem is though is its the same company that supplied it before,and they are an absolute shambles.

The river wharfe near me is full of signals,but it is also full of minnows,trout and there are a few chub,so signals eating the fish eggs does not seem a likely cause.A river without minnows sounds almost unbelievable.

I once ate a brown trout from the river,it tasted awful

Just wondered,why its not open to coarse fishing from june?

Anybody eaten grayling?I have heard they taste good.

selling carp in the supermarkets is surely a good thing,In poland carp is the traditional christmas dinner(so I am told)so it makes sense to have it available to buy.The asian supermarket near me has alsorts of wierd looking fish in the freezers.

That length of the river was being used by lot of people,it was a hot day there were people paddling and other people boating,there was a young lad with a fishing net right next to me catching minnows,every body was minding their own business and enjoying themselves until these lads showed up making a right racket.After reading your post I realise I should have handled it differently,but in all honesty I don't think asking nicely would have worked,but I should have at least tried.

The other week I was in the middle of the river wharfe trotting a float,when four teenage lads came down in two dinghy's,they were obviously intending to float straight through my swim,I told them in no uncertain terms"come down here and I will punch holes in both your boats "they didn't take me seriously,so I shouted angrily "you are not listenening,come down here and I will pucture your boats" and waded towards them with my forceps .They said they were going to Ilkley how are we going to get there?I said"walk round",after more argueing they finally went round me through a field,but they did manage to puncture one dinghy on a barbed wire fence and yes,though I used to think griff rhys jones was ok,I now think he's a tosser.

The reel seat on my shimano hyperloop doesn't tighten up properly,just when its nearly tight it jumps back a thread,any ideas on how it could be repaired?cheers.

When I get the fish feeding they (the numpties)normaly turn up,walk right up to the waters edge and point at the fish "Have you seen the size of those?"as they swim off

I haven't had a barbel yet,but I have fished for them,and I have taken a keepnet with me when targeting them,after the information you have given,I will not be taking a keepnet in the future.

I thought it was recomended that barbel are kept in keepnets before you release them

I caught a brown trout while fishing for chub with lamprey.My mate had a pike while fishing for barbel with halibut pellet,he also caught a 10lb ghost carp fish with double red maggot on 2 1/2lb hooklink.

I went down the river aire in bingley on wednesday night,missed a couple of clonking bites,but managed to bank a minnow eventually trying the wharfe tommorow,please god let me catch a barbel or a chub

I have used vitalin as a method mix,it is very sticky and stays as a ball for a long time,it stinks as well so I mix it outside.you will have to mix it with water as it is very dry straight out of the bag,you can add other ingredient to it.
