  1. Incoherent as usual. Born in a Pub and don't drink, but do have chubby fingers.
  2. Its that a Rabbit with myxomatosis I hear whining.
  3. I was a member there for some years and would suggest you try the Nook , which is the largest of the day ticket lakes (the other two are Little Nook and Moorhen). Standard carp tactics and baits work well and there are some significant bream and tench present as well. EDIT NOTE: I have just noticed the date you intended to fish The Nook has already passed. I hope you had a good time and did well.
  4. I have found a packet of Nash Squid Livers readymade boilies, I must have bought them about 5 years ago, but they have been kept in a dry clean place, the packet is undisturbed and they look and smell fine. Ignoring the make/flavour/readys-v-home made/arguments, would you use them ( just based on their age ) ?
  5. I really do think its getting slower, I am "timing out" a lot of times when I try to get on the site. Hopefully, it will get sorted soon.
  6. I have used Parcel Force tracking system in the past and it is usually excellent. I suspect that as your parcel was posted during the weekend, the information won't be on their system until this afternoon, when it actually arrives at a transit point.
  7. We have lost a few good companions over the years and I can understand how you feel. The scandal that is the treatment of the Ibizan Hound in parts of Spain seems to go on and on. I was under the impression a few years ago that "the Authorities" were going to clamp down on this and dish out a few prosecutions. It would appear this has not happened. Our doubt if many people are aware that you can adopt them into the UK, its certainly not something I had thought about, but it is a real option. I am sure you are going to enjoy Nieble.
  8. Get ready for "Katie and Peter - The Reconcilliation", exclusive in Hello magazine, no doubt Max Clifford has been briefed already. People can say what they like about her, but she has built up an alleged £30m fortune on the basis of her celebrity and that has to be admired. Its noted that since they have been married , his only source of income is a magazine column (that apparently is ghost written).
  9. Having once owned horses, I can say that ours were insured for a number of things, including public liability, which covered any damage they may have caused on the highway. Taking into account the litigious society we have lived in for many years, I suspect most horse owners have the same cover. The prattle that cyclists pay for the roads through other taxation is nonsense. Motorists that pay excise duty then pay twice, using that logic. I make no excuse for careless pedestrians, but they are very much the minority in my experience, but I agree that mobility scooters/vehicles do need some better control and should at least be insured.
  10. I think the main "image" problem that cyclists have, is that they project a "God given right" aura. That is a "God given right" to do anything they want and **** anyone else. Pedestrians get off their bikes and walk across a pedestrian crossing, or stop rather than slalom round pedestrains on a pavement, or pedestrian precinct ?......................you have got to be joking. Traffic lights, road signs, only apply to ordinary people, not the "God given right" cyclist. The majority of cyclists act like an ignorant, selfish, anti social bunch of morons. Just mention tax and insurance for bicycles and listen to their whines. I ride a bicycle and treat it as a road vehicle and obey the laws of the road accordingly. Its not that hard actually, but then I don't think I have got a "God given right".
  11. Damn, I was just about to cast my vote.
  12. Great pictures, thanks for posting them. I am no expert on recognition among the shark family, but your soupfin does seem to have all the fins in the same place as our tope.
  13. "600 miles off the Somali coast in a dinghy". They may be scum, but that takes some balls. I doubt if Israeli security guards have ever fired weapons in the air to warn off anyone shooting at them. This sounds like some sanitised PR exercise, they probably shot the lot.
  14. This must be the No. 1 "evergreen thread". As has been said many times before, if anyone doesn't like it, then they can leave and go elsewhere. Nobody will miss them , the Internet sands close over footprints very quickly. You can even apply to Elton to get a refund of your subscription..............................Oh, thats right, you don't pay one.
  15. Right hand side of the page, go to "Options" and set it to standard. IP Boards change this setting sometimes, I don't know why.
  16. What a set-up. The lads got a good voice, but I suspect the professional training he has "allegedly" had since the cradle and the fortunate coincidence of just having a standby tape might have helped him a little bit.
  17. Why do we expect these people to be telling the truth ? How can we prove they don't still have these urges ? I am quite happy to argue that such a deviant is unlikely to be a wholly truthful and trustworthy person.
  18. I am amazed the ambulance was actually going to an emergency. From people who work in the Ambulance Service |I have heard that more than half the ambulances with "blues and twos" you see are not going to an emergency, but want to get back to base for a tea break, go home, or just want to avoid the traffic congestion. There is a chap who lives in a nearby village and works for the Fire Brigade, he has a red van with a blue light on the roof and goes everywhere with the light and sirens going, until he gets to the main road , then he slows down and drives normally. Sad, but true.
  19. I don't think that statement is true, have you never seen the antics of castrated animals, notably bullocks, dogs , pigs and horses ? The neutered males will mount and mimic/attempt the procreation act. There must be some instinct/interest remaining, even thought the physical ability has been removed. Many older men prosecuted for sexual offences have been shown to be impotent, but the acts were still attempted. Its almost impossible to prevent a child falling victim of these people, as its almost impossible to determine a potential paedophile. This "helplessness" may contribute to us to wanting them dealt with severely. Also, how do you know if they will, or will not reoffend. I certainly wouldn't trust social workers, probation officers, pyschiatrists, pyschologist, or whoever you want to wheel out to make this decision. Accept they are sick of mind (as these have to be unnatural, or at least unacceptable desires) and put them in a secure medical facility for life may seem extreme, but it does have the effect of knowing that they will not reoffend and probably spoil some childs life.
  20. Sometimes I am finding it painfully slow to get AN to open at all and then slow to navigate round the Forums. The usual disclaimer; There is nothing wrong with my PC, this only happens on AN. Is anyone else experiencing this ?
  21. I keep meaning to back up files on my PC, mainly pictures, stories, etc. Rather than fiddle about with CD's I am thinking of using a memory key. Whilst I appreciate that the size of the one I need (assuming it will do the job) depends on what I put on it (which is difficult to calculate), what would be a good size that should cope with just about everything ? Also, can you select to delete, or overwrite, some of the stuff in storage on the key ? No uber technical replies please, as you can see I ain't too bright.
