  1. last time i used one it came of the bottom or the top i have one of those ones that turn to cast not a true centrepin but closer to a abu 506 ,is that the word "heathen" i hear you cry
  2. no ,i go out every morning and last thing at night to clear the ponds drains ( bruddy leaves) its ruining my bike going up and down a bumpy track ,its the result of being the closest bailiff to the pond put me off fishing the blasted thing altogether but we go every couple of mornings if its not too bad ,bites are just as rare
  3. i keep trying to read "drop me a line" but its so old fashioned ,i cant find the rude pics anywhere
  4. as i mentioned our youngest had a musical ilk ,we decided to buy her a synth so she could use the headphones and we could avoid the awfull practicing fortunatly the headphones worked but we had to endure the click click of the keys she was banished to her room which saved our sanity (well maybe the mrs`s) cant stand old fashioned analogue instruments give me pure synth with its precision any day ,trance bring it on , is that the word "heathen" i hear my granny died at 92 able to play the piano (honky tonk) faultlessly ,with a huge range of tunes ,she couldnt read a note either she just had the "ear" [ 21. 5. it could be a instinctive action on the part of the fish ,maybe the fish due to the water temp is less hungry but still the instinct is to grab the bait as its there .the "take" may be only half hearted so the bait isnt sucked into the mouth just dropped out, on the strike the hook may still be close enought to foulhook ,i have noticed similar in pond fish they go for floating pellets but seem not to eat them but may hold them for a few sec half in half out of their mouths then drop them
  6. i have had about four different ones , seems they dont like accounts with negative equity strange though there seems to be 20 people in the country with my name ,bank account ,and telephone number
  7. even better was the "safe sex" in the leslie neilson film naked gun or whatever nice beaver
  8. i hope they have had them anyway even better but more expensive is a carbon monoxide detector (not those silly patches )in a house or flat with a gas boiler ,it was the first thing we bought when we lived in a camper
  9. late fall ????? were you expecting one earlier ,an easy way to predict falls is your pride coming on the other hand we have autumn so we may fall on slippy leaves
  10. i`m sure there is an half empty skip in the region ,i would have put them in a dustbin but it mentions no hot ashes
  11. arn`t they trained to wiggle  i thought natural maggots just hung on a hook not drawing attention to their captive state and shop maggots went through generations of selective breeding to improve hook wriggleness ,the reason they wriggle in the box is that they are "working out" to strenghten the wriggle muscle ,if one is dropped it is programmed to search for a hook but without eyes they usually just blunder into crevices . they wriggle more in warm temperatures because there are more natural baits available in the pond therefore they have to wriggle more to attract fish. in cold temperatures they can loosen up and conserve their energy its all in the wriggle gene.thesis complete A+ [ 21. 12. as we were shocked at the cost of water etc (it was based on the retail value of our council house) we had a meter installed ,seems good so far we only pay for the water used ,true the water bill dropped ,true the cost of the sewerage dropped BUT the sewerage standing charge DOUBLED as the standing charge is 5 times the amount we pay for water its outrageous ,on phoning the water co ,i was appalled to find this is the norm ,the reason (according to them) the rate for the standing charge rises to allow for repairs  as its a council house the sewers are covered by the council (we called them out for a blockage but our neighbour had to pay as it went through her garden ((where the blockage was))) so why should i be penalised for saving resourses
  13. because the law says we must ,usually (as far as i know) if you havent a terminal illness and havent seen a doctor in the last 3 months a pm is obligitory , i think if a relative of mine dropped dead i would want to know why ,the deseased dont care either way
  14. victorian illusions brought back to life ,i was expecting the steps going on and on ,but just a silly ending
  15. i cannot see how anything but quacks can be obtained from reed instruments ,our daughter tried to learn the clarinet at school despite several types of reeds (some very expensive) the best she could get was a cacofany (spelling) of mallards ,it wasnt that she was dim (despite her father ) (who ever he was) she could listen to a pop song a couple of times and repeat it on her synth ,go for a flute i`d say
  16. but far more entertaining if the mona lisa went for £5 after all it is second (or more) hand
  17. i am a trifle confused about all the police involvement ,one white van going into a crematorium is much like another ,what were the police afraid of ??? was it that someone may try and kill her  or was it that a few cops wanted their faces on telly so we knew they did exist and wern`t just figments of the populaces imaginations i always also thought that murderers were supposed to be buried (or scattered) on unholy ground usually within the prison grounds  [ 20. 18. i am a little confused ,if there are no bids why is there a highest bid  is it an auction or a shop  is the highest bid without bidders the minimum price if so then theres little chance of a bargain
  19. i always use thompsons waterseal on my nylon bivvy ,but do it outdoors and leave it up for a few days ,cotton types are best proofed with a wax type proofer ,the seals are heat welded (cheapie alternative to stiching but more waterproof) i expect the can be resealed with uhu type glue but try on a small bit first.
  20. quote: Yep! A chap named Lief Ericson (son of Eric The Red). he was an american ,i saw him in a documentary..called the high chapperal

  22. how can wetlands be of use to anyone  either drain them or dig holes in them for peat then fish them
  23. theres a close season  i thought river danglers just liked paying 25% more than pond lovers (25% = only fishing 9 months wheras ponds =12 months)
  24. the fact is they may have gone but the pictures are fake ,there are several plausible statements that the camera used couldnt be used with space gloves on and the film wouldnt work in the temperatures moonside also who took the pictures of the lander taking off
  25. in a car chase no matter how fast your going you always have another gear . bullets can richochet of car body work and windows people can move faster than a laser beam thus dodging them. a machine gunner always starts shooting from behind a fleeing person. all people can shoot a rider of a horse without harm to the steed. six shooters were acurate at 100yds indians always circle anticlockwise ,never at night and if the chief gets killed they all go home computers always have writing never crash and beep on every keypress young boy children can use a laptop connected to a card with a miriad of wires to break into any known security device. a yale lock can be picked by anyone in 2 seconds all aliens languages can be turned into english by a translator so good that the aliens mouth movements are also in english. bullets never smash the bone on contact with an arm enabling the wounded good guy to wear a sling at the end of the scene people stand within 6 feet of their door so they can answer it within 5 secs ,this also applies to the phone all scrapyards contain cars with perfectly working engines ,they also contain boats ,sails , rope , brand new box section in several lenghts ,landrovers in variose engine sizes and perfect body work, proof?????? watch scrapyard challenge [ 17.
