having had a few power cuts and its not even winter yet i thought i`d buy some paraffin (kerosene) for our lamps ,having scoured the area for a source of unpackaged ( fill your own container) to no avail ,i went into a well known "merchants" and bought a 4 litre container ,on presenting it at the till i was outraged to find it was £4.99 THATS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN PETROL  i wish i hadnt sold my coleman at least it ran on cheap petrol

"Takes two to tango" unfortunatly the way were going women will be dancing "solo" the women are still needed as incubators but how long has the male got a few cells here and there and the male can be "disposed of" ofcourse there will have to be a breeding colony of males for a gene pool ,but all that nasty sex stuff can be avoided ,in the future men will be obsolete as the genes will be "modified" to create genetic differences ,lets see women program their video`s then

it depends ,if you catch nothing in the summer, carp are feeding EXACTLY the same in winter it all depends on water temperature ,usually the colder it is the less they feed ,too cold and they switch of altogether ,thats the base line i expect others will introduce you to thermoclynes ,deep water movements and all the other clever stuff

welcome to AN ,you need a rod license to use your rods in the uk (available at the post office)as long as you have an address youl get a license ,this covers 2 rods ,the ordinary coarse one covers carp etc ,but if you want to fish for game fish (in season) then youl need a game license ,the difference to the U.S. is that ALL water is owned by someone ,so youl need a club permit or a day ticket for that water ,a lot of waters (inc rivers) are only fisherball with permission of the landowner (riparian owner) who you will have to find and ask (good luck). your local tackleshop will have details for clubs and day ticket waters in your vicinity have a chat with them ,also study the byelaws on the permit for what and whats not allowed i.e our club has brought out a new byelaw making it obligitory to have an unhooking mat with you WHATEVER fish you fish for [ 02. it looks like chesters1 is on the winning side for once (despite a personal attack) to rectify this we should immediatly launch an attack on her village and rescue her ,it obvias the laws are wrong and we should use force to rectify it , death to everyone that disagrees the personal attack was justified on other posts i`l agree but i was held back by my master on this one till the next one

i used (when a gardener) to have a full lenght black "fishermans" coat it was made of a sort of loose weave material covered with a form of plastic it was completly waterproof and big enough to leave open whilst working ,one day i went to get it from the shed but it was gone  the owner and boss caught sight of me working in the garden with a plastic black bin liner on (also very water proof) and drove into the town and bought me a genuine drovers coat (from aus) and proudly presented it to me and watched with pride as i donned it ,i spluttered my thanks and went back to work i hated that coat it wasnt waterproof ( waxed cloth) it was twice the weight of my old one and it soaked up the rain becoming twice as heavy again ,but i had to wear it as it was a present

my mrs has got very bad since they "upped" her medication for epilepsy ,sometimes at tea time i am sitting at the p.c in the bedroom and i suddenly smell burning ,next i hear the word "s**T " from my mrs and the sound of a pan hissing under the tap ,when i go into the living room and the kitchen door is shut ,i say "what are you up to" "nothing" comes the reply (sounds of frantic pot washing) the medication affects her short term memory and if she watches the tv she completly forgets she is cooking the tea ,we`ve bought 2 sets of pots in the last year what about getting her a shallow oblong ceramic pie dish she can put her bits in that [ 30.
