Cetainly a prettier fish than those pot belly carp we see ,and as they are not fed with buckets of boilies a week far rarer when they get big.

I just bought one of those drill holders with the arm ,my old B&D fits perfectly and it hasnt got a keyless chuck so you can put it in reverse without fear of it coming loose . https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/b5QAAOSwsc9k20D9/s-l1600.webp I would prefer it had the potential to drill at an angle but those in my budget are feeble compared

Cheers i have several sets of varied screw ,bolt and stud removers and have used your guides twice with success .The trick sometimes so easy as to use a counter clockwise drill bit as it starts to cut it can just uncrew the damaged screw .I wish my pillar drill had reverse Most of the problems are steel into aluminium on my daughters scooter (its pretty old so galvanic action going on)so any i remove are substituted with stainless if they are not a over tight situation (holding covers on etc rather than wheels and such) Stainless fixings are getting so cheap i am not seeing much difference to ordinary screws bolts etc so i have made up a few boxes of stainless alternatives in several sizes from 2mm to 8mm .I understand stainless isnt as strong as steel but in many situations preferable. I used to use copper grease on bolts etc but now the thought is thats not so great as our predecessors advised so now use stainless which hopefully gets around the problem of galvanic action as ofcourse the copper in the grease has its problems. Talking about bolts and nuts the best tool i have bought lately is a torque multiplier ,my sons LDV wheel nuts were so tight we snapped 3ft bars with scaffold tube on them with me standing on the end trying to shift them (a heavy duty impact wrench burnt out trying ! Milwaukee fuel are crap nowadays ! It went straight back ,did you know you can bend 3ft crowbars and 5ft digging bars very easilly?) But the multiplier worked fine ,slow but got the nuts loose enough for my 240v impact driver to take over with just a little smoke! Its quicker than a 1" socket handle and extention ,bugger knows what tool was used to tighten them ! There seems to be a sudden decline in tools since 2021 going by this guy who repairs them and also hates Milwaukee tools well worth watching https://youtube.com/playlist?list=RDCMUC8bYhuT5p6xncsk1CZAO1Fw&playnext=1&si=POrUmZwZOU8Fk-jY

Happy newyear to all. Had a phone call out of the blue today obviously a frail old lady so we presumed it was my old head bailffs wife Jan wishing us a happy new year .Sounded like her but seemed a bit hard of hearing which see isnt. Suddenly she mentioned her name and it was a name from my Intrepid research contacts she had got intouch in 2003 when i put an advert for ex employees in the cheam newspaper but it had been very brief and i had no reply to my reply .No replies to any christmas cards so i presumed she had not wished to continue or had died as some have after all it was 60+ years ago when she worked there. The reason for her sudden call was she had got a card from a long forgotten workmate who i had mentioned her address in his Christmas card so he had obviously got in touch .I said i should have asked first (as i said in his card she could be dead as i had not heard from her for years) she said she was delighted to hear from him (he lost his wife 20 odd years ago as she has lost her husband about the same time so perhaps they may meet as he lives less than a mile away from her ?) Sending a letter to the old girl tomorrow and i will include a couple of other ex cheam workers addresses .She chatted away for 15 minutes as if we had been in contact for years or perhaps thinking i worked there as she mentioned other people as if i knew them personally from back then . As for Jan she phoned later and chatted away and said when bob (her son ) had time she would pop over ,we (me) hardly know her bar asking her on the phone getting in touch with Bill regarding bailiff matters and seeing her in his car as he passed now and again .I guess both old girls were lonely ,i dont mind a gossip but its hard work outside passing general pleasentries ,its hard work anyway for me i am billy no mates and have never sought others to make freinds with ,i have two i have known for 50 years they are great mates they may get in touch once a year if that lol Happy New Year ,Dave aka Chesters1

The saga continues the surgery just texted me " Sorry Mr .... We cannot discuss Mrs ..... using patches she must fill in the form herself and send it . I returned with if you look at the very first page for the request it states I am filling this form in for "myself" or "someone I care for" so the request CAN be used by a third party .... Half Ann hour later a phone call from surgery arranged a blood test and scan for tomorrow .The doctor? (Who knows who's on the phone ) yet again went through the details (despite a 1000 letter explanation on the form )then asked for any previous BP readings (despite sending in by email AND attaching them to the form on patches they insist I cannot use) .half way through I mentioned this (this seem to annoy him until I mentioned I was her carer thus privy to answering for her) and he found it and arranged the visit They also sent an online form to give consent for wife to be discussed by me (as a carer that's been filled in years ago) the crazy thing was it was online ,I could fill in the details but could not find a way to sign it and it wouldn't allow it to go back without it .I have printed it out (by downloading it changing it to a pdf and printing it ) and it will be handed over tomorrow .Why is everything becoming more difficult today next you will be filling in forms to leave home It's quiet obvious why they cannot see it is beyond me https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/sxjrssx6flviltr46bq5c/Screenshot_20231211-104657.png?rlkey=eqrn38vxh6i9iuymkvx019np5&dl=0

Yes I watched one of many slightly different ways of growing bananas from bananas (plausible there are seeds in bananas) so the Mrs tried and it came up with nothing but a house full of tiny black flies and a rotting banana. There's many fake vids from 'natives ' building 3 story houses with swimming pools using a stick and a bit of clay to villagers 'finding' some bit of tech in a sodden pile of sticks and rubbish and making it better than new and it working. We all know damp rusts iron and ali and tech is full of it even component legs are only coated with tin they are not the tin or silver plated copper anymore . I am not saying water isn't used to clean populated pcb's they can be cleaned in distilled water in a ultrasonic bath but it's dried immediately unlike roadsides in the Philippines or whatever . I did watch one very good 'found in a hedge' type vid (India must be full of hedges) a restoration of a scooter boy that thing looked like a collabder once the paint was off but the guy welded more metal into the holes and it looked great ,I doubt though going by experience the barrel was so easily fixed seized pistons and being full of water are usually only replaceable by new parts

Yes she seems ok but laying off the continual (enough to give me high BP) tidying and taking it easy, enjoying my post meal farts as nature intended and looking at temu for more gadgets that are used once then go and live in a cupboard until new crap ousts them . The countries buggered most probably orders from our masters at WEF or something in the water ,hopefully voters realise nothings going to improve if they keep voting in the problem!

The trouble was being old we look back and lived in a time when promises were honoured and ambulances came (there's an ambulance station 2 miles away near the hogs back) it was a tossup getting a taxi and her getting a heart attack on the way or waiting for the ambulance with the knowledge they had the means of treating her if she did. More annoying (yes she's fine the blood pressure still high but only just outside her upper "normal" range thanks) amusingly you cannot contact the local doctor to get it looked into .The surgery uses a dire app called patches (no the NHS APP only allows contact FROM the doctor you cannot contact them via it) .But worst of all the first contact available is 6.30 tonight most probably for being looked at tomorrow .When we first used Dr Brown (he came into Dr Mays surgery when we were patients of him) you turned up at 8 am formed a queue took a wooden number and was seen that morning ! I am not sure progress is progress when everything seems to get worse . I have already sent in her weekends omron BP chart via email I have no doubt they will 'overlook' it like they did when I sent my 3 monthly weeks worth the last time (been going fine up to then) I try my hardest to do my bit why don't they do theirs all they do is shift their workload onto some app with no doubt poorly paid Indians with English as their second language to do it for fourpence or worse still artificial crapness while the surgery staff moan about the conservatives (who don't run the NHS) drinking tea and eating biscuits doing **** all It reminds me of taking in my first weeks worth (as a print out) the doctor was a bit smirky when I told her I had one ,she was probably thinking it was some wrist BP machine . Soon changed her smirk when she realised it was a machine above her one and went into far more detail than just pushing a button and looking at a screen and judging on that. Hopefully the old boy practices disappear Drs are no longer gods who know all, they are GP's IE they little about lots they use the internet just as much as us to diagnose I have more respect for vets who's clients don't tip them off what the problem is I think her pain didn't cause the high BP I think it was the other way round her pulse rate didn't shoot up it was steady BUT the high BP could cause a heart attack so finding out what caused the sudden high BP is for concern it's bad enough she lives with me she doesn't need any more pressure lol

Our daughter said her son suddenly got a phonecall saying his mate had been in a car crash .It was just down the road so off he went to see the story .A black scooter holding a black clad rider (they don't help themselves!) Had plowed into the nearside of the car as he turned left .Anyway the police and an ambulance were summoned the police just said exchange details and left it at that. The kid had pain in his leg but otherwise was mobile . Cut a long story short the ambulance never showed (it happened almost outside the kids house) the mum swept up the bits from the bike while waiting and in the end the dad took the kid off to a&e in his car after 2 hours waiting. One off we hope? Nope last night my Mrs suddenly had a severe pain in her chest and I took her blood pressure 223 over 110 so I went online and the app after filling in many tick boxes said call 999 (does it ever say anything else?) Vert nice lady triaged my Mrs via an interpreter (me) we retook BP it was still about the same so she said ambulance on the way ,we waited ...... 2 hours later the pain subsided but her BP was still very high and she was hot and trembly (unusual like most women she continually says she's cold ) and we waited ..... We first called at 6 pm and now it was midnight her BP was still 183 over 110 but the pain was gone so we lay fully clothed in bed waiting for the knock . At 4am the phone rang " do you still need an ambulance" I bit my lip it's not her fault but I was close to losing it ."sorry we have been busy" ! She triaged again and I took her BP luckily by then it was 153 over something and then she said it's going down can we make our way to frimley? I explained we had no transport and the first bus a mile away was hours away .she went quiet (obviously consulting her tick chart sheets) then said an online doctor would call . An hour later one did went all through everything we had said now 3 times and did a BP as before before and he said take her meds now !(this was 5 am) and he would call back in an hour's time . He duly did and her BP was now 160 over 89 so improving so he was happy to dismiss her but said if it rose again ring 999. So what has happened to this country ? I think the ambulance handover system is wrong .A large ward should be set aside with a couple of nurses and the ambulance crew simply drag in the patient NFC their pad over to one on the bed the patient is put into then leave .Going by experience the crew cannot leave until the patient is handed over )the reason their backed up outside) and in my last case they say with me for over 2 hours then told my story and if they had administered drugs etc then hung about laughing with the nurses for half an hour before (probably ) going to the cafe for a nosh .The whole system is old it needs overhauling it lucky my Mrs is still here Don't wait to A&E let you in simply drop the patient off with nurses and go and rescue the next poor sod it's so simple

The world would be a far better place if the money spent on killing people was used to cure them ! Same age as me

Been watching this stunner and her unlucky (or very lucky husband ) Charles and kids .why on earth are people coming here when there's countries like this (besides hand outs ) Yes there's poverty that's everywhere unless your means are larger than your expenses but being poor doesn't have to mean you are poor as we know it IE money . You can have zero $ and eat well ,be housed and have little expenses . The first one I watched (by accident and a pretty face) was her and her kids taking pots and pans to a river to wash them ,bit puzzling we bring the river to the house )but she's obviously embraced the 21st century I hope she doesn't get drawn in by the bright lights and end up like the "advanced" countries we desperately try and be with it's disadvantages . https://youtube.com/@eitatianasouza?si=8plfE4Pxo32Lv9Kj PS the language is Portuguese most people think everyone speaks Spanish in south America the subtitles are a little iffy lol Never had the inclination to travel but perhaps next time round I hope I try but I fear everywhere will be the melting pot the west insists we need to be with the WEF and WHO aided by NATO and the UN sitting above the rest who supply their wants I presum the river she resides near will be forced to change its name to the Rio non-white we can't have these race baiters having naughty words in their country especially with slavery involved ,spotted her grand parents on the boat at so it must be a family outing ? I was confused about her grandad "corn " milling but trying to fathom out why "corn" is so heavily processed I think it's not corn as we know it but ridding a root of cyanide ? I thought it was sago or semilina but it's different completely

For an baitrunner you can't beat the price.Trouble with AliExpress is you take a chance as the descriptions can be vague or sparing with the truth and the delivery times. Weird system where buyers do or do not charge for delivery or insist on a minimum cost before it's free .Also half the order despite from different shops end up in one package but are individually addressed so there could be a bit of drop shipping going on ? I have noticed different sellers with almost identical shop stock.Biut then that's similar to eBay or Amazon and some of their strangely named sellers usually (on eBay) some 3 bed house in London which I doubt is paying tax I just ordered a load of surface mount components but nearly bought a single switch where the postage was 3 times the cost of it .been looking for a new tablet but you have to be wary and buy it from the official outlet on Ali or you could end up with trash using the same sales blurb . I was talking to the neighbour when he brought round a temu parcel miss delivered .He said it's probably cheap rubbish but I countered it's probably where half the seller's you see buy it from at a big mark up so I take the chance and besides liberties taken in the pictures with child size feet on carpets to give the impression they are bigger it's not as bad as you think
