  7. hi mate it sounds to me like your probably fishing the right waters there's a good head of fish in both areas i would suggest maybe a rethink on tackle/method.but it could be as simple as not standing on a creaky pallet or staying off the sky line ect but its hard to say realy but they are really spooky fish and once spooked they will be very weary of your area
  8. is there any information on the size of the fish affected? was it a case of perch from all weights big and small or was it small perch +perch fry?

  12. thanx for the worm info steve will look into that in a bit,if it was a brace of 4's i would have gone wandering and found the nearest angler for a proper photo like this one from last year! i did do a self take photo but cut off half my head and was too close to the camra as it was raining and i was trying to do it all under the brolly gona have to practice over the next few months
  13. yes steve i got thru quite a lot of worms think i'm gona need to find me a worm farmer! the 3 came at around 1pm and the 4 around 3 30pm but conditions were quite good most of the day good cloud cover and a slight tinge of colour in the water after recent rain

  19. most clubs are very affordable if you fish more than 4 times a year
  20. hi mate i fish from the bottom lock occasionally but mainly later in the year there are a lot of boats in the area as i'm sure you know they put me off a bit but if you want carp your best to pre bait a swim for a few weeks 3 or 4 times a week and dont be shy put plenty in theres a lot of bream and tench and crays about so it will soon get cleaned up
  21. the thing is that these are not wild otters they have been bred and released into our waterways by man so i cant see how this new balance is natural
  22. i've not had any roach on spinner but we used to catch a few bream and carp on dead baits at claydon house when cat fishing if that counts
