  3. Blanked yesterday fishing garlic spam/lobworms spending half hour or so in each swim, got a free pass for this afternoon into dark but the frost and a hint of man flu is largely putting me off at the moment
  4. I'm not sure, I went to experience as it's on the way home, havn't been to happy Tonys in a long time! Experience arent open until Monday now
  5. Had a walk down Hambridge earlier the river is over it's banks in places but there are some very nice looking slacks and creases and the water feels a lot warmer than I was expecting. So off to the tackle shop to exchange my permit and get some lobs to go with my couple of tins of garlic spam ready for tomorrow!
  6. Looks as though the kennet is dropping off now (going by the EA website) but the heavy rain forecast tonight won't do it any favours with the ground already saturated!
  7. When I drove past Hambridge yesterday afternoon the kennet looked pretty close to bursting above the bridge, pretty sure it will have overnight the EA site shows the kennet rose pretty quickly! Woken up this morning to fence panels snapped in half and the garden a right mess!
  8. Going to spend a few hours after chub (roach are out of the window) with John (the flying tench) on sat, would it be worth inching a big lump of spam through under a float for barbel?
  9. And they both beat me to it (if my assumption is correct that it was one of you stood mid river at H) so I ended up blanking at Colthrop! Hoping the weather is ok on Saturday to get out, it's looking like barbel may be on the cards if the temp stays up and there's a couple more days of rain
  10. Just found that email in my work emails junk folder Could have sworn I had to put my membership number in when I joined, oh well will just have to re-register
  11. Just tried to log in and it says my account has been disabled, any other NAA members had this? Haven't posted on there much so I cant see why it would be disabled other than an error/mistake
  12. I had a look at the bag and wasn't impressed, the mulled cider on the other hand.....
  13. 2lb9 is a very nice perch! Don't suppose you got a picture? Will reply to your PM once I've heard back from the boss
  14. Why not give them a call? Probably best to get the answer straight from them
  15. Me and the other half got the ski trousers the other day, great for £17!
  16. Just had a closer look and that one looks like a sports holdall with a couple of extra pockets Well spotted I was going to send the Mrs down to get it as an Xmas pressy, imagine the disappointment opening that lol
  17. Cheers for posting that, still kicking myself for not getting the bag as well as the rod bag last time!
  18. Havnt actually seen it other than on Google earth, working in Basingstoke so no lunch break fishing hope you're well mate
  19. Do any of the local AN'ers know if there is any fishing (or any fish for that matter) in the stream in Kingsclere? Due to a new job we are looking to relocate to Kingsclere and it would be great if there was some fishing on our doorstep other than Frobury farm and the hole in the ground on Stokins farm!
  20. I bought some off ebay and they were awful, spend ages messing around with shotting because they were nowhere near what it said on the side of the float, great start fishing. After a short while each and every one I tried started taking on water and sinking. Typically after giving up with them I remembered there were a couple of drennan ones in the boot of the car, both of these ended up in the same tree in short succession
  21. Lovely looking chub! I'm contemplating going out on Sunday for a few hours, a combination of no enthusiasm and a new baby has meant I havn't been for a couple of months now! All these pictures of chub are slowly getting under my skin and increasing my urge to go
  22. Shhhh don't tell Rusty you have yours
  23. http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/3938-mashed-bread/ Plenty of good advice on there
  24. I had this all of last year, some renewed enthusiasm early season this year which quite rapidly disappeared and I havn't been since early September and have no plans to go in the near future, might be it for fishing for another year
