  1. Yeah, me too......good luck Yu'all ! Don't forget to get a few snapps for us spectators
  2. FT, have you got a buy it now price for the dvd ?
  3. I have one of these beanies and they're superb for winter> Even if it's not raining they keep the damp cold air off your head. I'd thoroughly reccommend them.
  4. I do the bending twisting thing myself lol. I also thought about trying black and will most likely have a go at painting one black also. I noticed a peice of white polystirene floating down the river a while back and it stood out like a sore thyumb through all the shadows and even in the glary bit where the sun was shinning so I thought I'd try it out. I know it sounds daft but I'm lookin forward to tryin it out
  5. I've always used red/ orange tips on my floats whilst trotting but sometimes it's not the easiest colour to see in certain light at different times of day and at range. I accidently broken the tip on one of my Steve maher floats recently and repaired it by glueing a peice of quite thick parrot quill into it. Anyway I painted it with ordinary white gloss and am looking forward to testing it out to see if it's any easier to see, especially at range. Has anyone else tried using a white tip and if so was it easy to see ? If it doesn't put down much rain tonight I may get a slot of an hour to test it myself....hopefully !
  6. I think the best pike bait I've used is small pike. They seem to love canibalising on smaller brothers and sisters.
  7. Eel sections and grayling are another good bait.
  8. Hey Rusty, that's a very fine write up on the match aerials.....and.....yeaph they have and most likely will pop up again on boot sales lol. Well done m8.
  9. Birds frequent many different waters in the uk and even fly from waters abroad and they don't "get dipped" before landing in a different water.
  10. Rusty, I use one of these item number 190337473710 on ebay. I don't bother with the bait smock it's to bulky, I use a magot bag round my neck and if I need a few more bits that normal I wear a waistcoat full of pockets. I put my spare floats in a plastic tube and they fit in the long pouch on the belt, those belts are great. Can't belive it, I've just bought another lol !
  11. Rusty I've got both of those. The rucksack does have a cover but personally I think it's a bit on the big side for roving. I use mine for barbel fishing etc but not for walking the river with a match rod and CP. I have got a small rucksack which is waterproof but it's a military one. It's actually called rocket pouches(two of them) which can be clipped onto the larger rucksack but I use them seperate on their own yolk. What do you mean by roving ?
  12. Thank's Dave. Good luck on your trip.......jammy bugger , look forward to your usual photos.
  13. I have a drennan im8 13 ft super feeder but I don't have the bag for it. I'm trying to get hold of the origional bag for it. If anyone knows of one available I'd be very interested.
  14. Hey up, the three muskateers Looks like you had a good day ....posin bugger
  15. The suite is two peice Les. I'll take some picc's of the suite after and put them on for you chaps to see it.
  16. Due to slimming down I'm selling my Siberian suite. The suite has only been worn twice and for short spells. It's in as near new condition as you'll get. It really is a top cold weather syntex suite waterproof and breathable perfect for sitting about behind buzzers etc/ no use for walking up and down rivers. The size is xxl. Anyone interested can make me an offer.....no silly ones please.
  17. I'm envious of that barb arbocop, my biggest caught whilst trotting is only 4lb. Well done !
  18. I've had several dace virtually bang on the 1 lb mark in the last few weeks. I just can't get excited about them though. Now your 5lb barbel on the float are well worth getting excited about, love it !
  19. I can see the price of those corks goin up after this thread !
  20. Hey TT, no sign of the Lythe yet. I spoke to him on the blower a couple of months back and he said it should be ready in a few weeks. I actually orderd two more off him (two long trotters), one for me and one for a friend although god only knows when they'll be ready. I don't want to rush him though he might no tweek it to perfection if he rushes it....it's only took him 2yrs plus up to now
  21. Errr...Mmm...I think just for the sheer value it would be a sheffield.....I think lol.
  22. Have you never heard of Hagar the Horrible ?
