  1. its not how much the gear costs but the presentation of the bait that matters it does not have to be expensive or fancy just correct
  2. i fish for them using groundbait then spray maggots but i fish on a float with all my shot at the base and puta castor on the hook so it sinks very slowly rudd are surface feeders and love castors
  3. was it getting dark as the tench came or just cloudy day ?
  4. i use fluro and either use knotless knot or love to catch big fish on spade end hooks
  5. as has been said drop the p plus and worms i would use prawns great perch bait but never heard of pike taking them
  6. purple who the hell names these things lol looks a big dirty heron to me
  7. only one word in bait runners shimano simple lol nothing really comes close old ones are the better ones also
  8. frankly i dont give a flying f*** what ppl think yes theres is a scotish pike mafia no its not just pass and indeed in england i just fish the waters i am allowed to and try to get on with anyone who wants or wants to give help and advice
  9. thats exactly what i said lol use something differant even if its a standard boilie mix tweek it so i have no idea where you got the not so true line from. Example a lake i know fishes fantastic with corn yr in yr out but throughout the yr you have to use 4 or 5 differant types /flav of corn
  10. most of have busy lives work kids wives etc and go when we can its never about catching fish its about on the bank time but the question was about the moon
  11. prebaiting for carp can work but you got to pick an area that nobodys else fishes makes no diff if you prebait with strawberry boilies and then i come along and fish exact spot with pineapple i will catch the fish you prebaited for. So the lesson i learned was pre bait where no other angler casts to, does the colour of a boilie matter ? well since we dont see things as carp do who knows ive caught on crap brown ones and on fluro yellow i think flavour is more important as carp hunt by smell in the main on a lake i fished 2 yrs ago the guys were pouring in a certain expensive boilie so me bieng me bought a mega cheap high leakage brand and caught bagfulls. On the subject of making them using a pretty standard recipie and adding a little tweak works well hope this helps
  12. its horses for courses im afraid a comercial is my idea of hell and you could not pay me to fish one.The piker in me is used to sitting waiting lol but there is 1 lake i fish that has a tiny amount of pike in you can fish 20 times for 1 run latley i have been doing very well there and caught in the last 5 trips but alas its time to move on as the weeds set in and its not viable to fish
  13. http://www.ne-fishing.co.uk/forum.php try this north east site lads had a look at that site ffs trout sea fishing and the angel of death lakes is this what north east fishing has come to
