  1. I have found nothing in the filter or behind the powder drawer. I am going to open up the machine later today. Thanx for the advice.
  2. I am in need of advice. I have a Washing Machine which is about 3 years old which for some reason has developed an awful musty smell, even after use. The machine is used daily and yet smells like damp clothes which have been left for days. Indeed washed clothes cannot be left inside for more than 10 minutes or they too absorb the smell. The smell is so bad that if I leave the Washer door open the smell can be detected in the kitchen. I have tried all the usual things. Oust washer cleaner, bleach, disinfectant, boil washes to no avail. Anyone have an idea?
  3. Which OS did you upgrade from? What version of Win7 have you installed? Did you have any issues before you upgraded?
  4. I cannot believe that people will commit their money with no guarentee that they will get the tickets they want. Imagine wanting to watch shot put and getting swimming instead. We don't deserve to host anyway after all the BS in the bid. The UK Olympics will benefit no-one but businessmen, hell we don't even keep the stadium after it all ends. To think my taxes paid for this.. Could think of better ways to spend the money. Oh well I don't suppose we will win the bid again...unless someone gets their palm greased.
  5. Got information about the Lakes in question. Thought I would provide a link. http://www.a1pits.co.uk/content.php Looks worth a pop.
  6. There is a far more serious issue in relation to this new idea. The integrity of the Police Officer. I remember watching as a child the end result of a lorry spill. It was carrying bottles of Whisky. I and my Father watched Police Officers seemingly burying bottles in the field alongside the accident. On our return journey, at around 11.30pm, over twenty cars lined the side of the road beside the field. Too dark to see, but you can guess. I have seen Officers first hand ignore blatant bad driving only to go for an easy target. I have also seen bad examples of driving from the Police also. Unless an Officer has his/her blue lights or siren he/she must obey the rules of the road himeself/herself. The fact that, as said before, the idea of going to court to challenge the Officer issuing the ticket will mean easy bucks for the Government coffers. All we will have now is an Officers interpretation of Law and this without proof of actual wrong doing. Don't be frightened by the "My word against his." scenario. Law still states that you are Innocent until proven guilty. Guilt can only be determined by a Magistrate or Judge. Not a Police Officer. An Officer can only allege an offense has been commited. A Police Officers job is to provide community service, deter crime, detect crime and detain the offender. After that their responsibility ends.
  7. IE9 is a bug ridden piece of garbage. I removed it from all my systems after advice from Microsoft...the same people peddling it...lol. Try this link to revert back to IE8. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/foru...56-4a6abd9a0f9b Like many things from MS recently we are the guinea pigs.
  8. Missed that completely...send me the link please? This is where I saw my info. http://www.tardebiggeanglers.co.uk/ The guest ticket it says is only valid if the guest is accompanied by a member.
  9. £275.00 per annum + one off £25 fee...ouch!!! Day ticket it says @ £100...
  10. When a Man is offered the choice of Life or Death he would, if he were normal, choose Life. I cannot blame the man for joining the Guards at Sobibor. He wanted to Live. All the pompous idiots screaming for his trial do so in safe times, they occupy their own Country free from foreign domination or occupation without the fear of imminent death. Hang on why are we not prosecuting the German people as a whole? Did they stand up against the regime, apart from the white rose group, saying the killings were wrong? Of course not because they would have been killed themselves, like the White Rose group. The German Man and Woman chose life and stayed silent. Millions of Germans were complicit in the murder of 6 million innocent persons. Whilst the War was "WON" the German nation was happy to follow Hitler. This guard chose life also. USSR camp guards in the Siberian work/death camps were responsible for far more deaths than SS Camp guards. The Russian elite of that period hated the Jews just as much as Nazi Germany. The only reason they got away with it was the fact they did not lose the war. Stalin killed 10+ million of his own people through maltreatment, famine and general sadism and yet he is not reviled in the same way as Hitler. Hitler and Stalin were both Peas from the same pod. Millions of others disappeared through the actions of the NKVD, equivalent to the German Geheime Staatspolizei.
  11. If you only have Frogs, Toads and Newts I would NOT recommend you use a filtration/pump system. The young of those Amphibians do get sucked into the pump system and are killed. As someone has suggested you need to put in some Lillies if you have not already done so. Not only will they do shade the water but will absorb the nutrients that encourage algae blooms. As to the application of the Barley Straw, the best time to apply it is from September - October.
  12. Greetings to all. I am looking for a venue within or just outside the Nottinghamshire area that allows 24 hour fishing. Would prefer it not to be a bucket. I would like a venue that has Carp, Bream and Tench primarily within a single lake. Day ticket @ a maximum of £10 per 24 hour. Pre-booking fine insofar that short notice booking is available. Ease of access due to being disabled, prefer on peg parking if possible. Looking to fish for 3 days. Doesn't have to be a Boilie fishery as I use many different baits, Pellets, Meat, Cheese, Worms etc etc. If anone has any recommendations I would appreciate your input. Thanks all.
  13. How big is your purse? I would recommend you look in a shop called Boyes, if the outlet is in your area. They have a varied selection of Rods and Poles, some made by Shakespeare. I purchased Rods for my children from there and my Eldest Son has landed a 25lb Pike and a 12lb Barbel on his. The laugh being that the Pike and the Barbel were both firsts. Boyes also sell very good quality Carp baits and additives, Halibut Glug etc, which for me have produced some good resuts.
  14. All internet usage connected to an IP address is, as far as I am told, stored with the Internet Service Provider for a period of 5 years and only if a Policeman or Judge requests the information can it be released. It does not matter how many times you mask or change the IP. If you have an unsecured wireless network then it is impossible to know who is Piggy Backing your network. Although some wireless broadband router models should give an indication of Piggy Back usage none will identify the user nor the number of users. I Piggy Backed a neighbours network once when my own service was interrupted by a network fault. I had the decency, however, of helping him secure his network from unwelcome intrusions as his was completely open.
  15. It has tried to rain here twice in 2 days...it was dismal. My Pond has now turned into the only waterhole for about 1 sq mile. Been getting Song thrushes, Magpies and I think even a Kestrel yesterday taking a drink. Also seem to have every local honeybee drinking too.....gonna put in an invoice for some honey I think. Seriously, if we don't get substantial rain the local late potato crops are going to fail and my Rhubarb... I love the dry weather but it can go on for too long.
  16. I remember seeing news articles with regard to the Talibhan Guerillas blowing up USSR supply columns and killing those captured. Again I would be fearful of being a USA ally today. What might happen to me in 10-20 years? The risk of taking Osama alive was no greater than the operational risk. His bodyguards were isolated and eliminated before they even got close to him. Was it not women who were his last line of defense? If he was killed then there was a reason they did not want him alive...BS about No1 on death list. I do not think anyone would have argued against his torture...do you??
  17. @chesters1. Absolutely spot on. I think that Bin Laden is enjoying a well earned retirement courtesy of the American Arms manufacturers. They have made an absolute killing, forgive the pun, from this. People believe that Al-Quaeda have killed indescriminantly. This is untrue. In their declaration of war they declared that civilians and military were all legitimate targets. That is not indescriminate. This is BS from the top down and we are so regularly fed it that we cannot distinguish between fact or fiction. Bin Laden, if he is indeed dead, could of and should have been taken alive. The West, primarily USA & UK, is too busy poking its nose in where it is not required. I would be very worried about my future if I were a current ally to the USA. As to the Talibhan. When they were fighting the USSR they were the darlings of the USA. Maybe Bin Laden finally took offence to their treatment after the end of the cold war? I don't condone Bin Laden or his methods but can understand his motives.
  18. How did the American kill team escape? Would one more person made all the difference? Booby traps are an occupational hazard in conflict. This one Hostile was the head of the organisation. If you can, and they could, you capture him. The USA kept Pakistan in the dark so why would they worry about extradition? Military doctrine and teaching flies in the face of the result of this action. Even interational rules of war state that to kill an unarmed enemy combatant is murder. As to making him talk, surely you're not that nieve? Maybe Bin Laden knew the location of Lord Lucan and Shergar?
  19. It is not a question of sympathy. In War people die. Bin Laden was the head of an organisation rightly or wrongly at war with America and the west. However, the unarmed head of an enemy organisation should be captured alive and interrorgated to gain further intel. Ask yourself why, against all military teaching and doctrine, do you kill the head of your enemies camp instead of acting an easy capture. Logic is missing here. If it was Bin Laden did he have too much intel on America to be left alive?
  20. The source of the tunnel was 300m away but the entrance to it or exit if you prefer had to be in the Prison...thus motion detectors would have picked up the digging. Poor security or a deliberate turn a blind eye. British Prisons in general do not house alleged terrorists, leading brains of the Talibhan. Any prison housing terrorists should have been guarded properly and only a moron would not expect a tunnel break. Which smacks of deliberate incompetence to me. We should now pull out and leave Afghanistan to its fate. Get the latest news too that Bin Laden was unarmed when he was shot and killed. Got to love American fair play. "We the Americans come in peace, SHOOT TO KILL." Why was he not taken prisoner, think of the intel he would hold. Unless he held secrets about the USA which were too sensitive?
  21. Can you honestly understand the following: Osama Bin Laden is dead and yet evidence seems absent. Maybe he has been re-recruited by the CIA? Or perhaps retired, with a job well done. After all look how much money the American arms industry has made since his declaration of "JIHAD". You honestly don't think the ruling elite in America give a cuss for a few thousand innocent deaths. The USA blew its global policeman role invading Iraq for those invisible WMD. They invade a sovereign nation and kill the leader. Not many people may remember the Iran/Iraq war where Iraq was an important western ally, espceially to America. But wait didn't the USA sell weapons to Iran at the time of conflict...go figure PRISON BREAK. The Afghan prison at the centre of the breakout did not have motion censors location within the grounds. People were allowed to occupy property so close to the Prison. How to keep Western interest in Afghanistan? Let 500 members of the Talibhan escape. As for the comments on Israel. I honestly believe that they are as bad as their neighbours, if not worse.
  22. How many times has Bin Laden been killed? Why has no evidence of his demise been shown? In WW2 the Germans claimed the sinking of the Royal Oak on numerous occasions as part of their proporganda campaign and yet the ship re-appeared many times after. On the other hand, if his death is true and he was living besides or within an elite Pakistani military compound he either had big cahoonas or some assistance from the Pakistani military. I don't believe for a minute that Pakistan is a willing partner in counter terrorism. The Americans are going to look absolutely foolish if Bin Laden suddenly reappears with a dated copy of The Sun newspaper in another video.
  23. Tried to keep this forum friendly. A Boy & His Frog. Poor little Jimmy walking down the road dragging a dead Frog on a lead. He carries his dead Frog to a House of ill repute and Bangs on the door. The Madame answers and Jimmy says, " I got £500 and I want to s**ep with the dirtiest w***e who has lots of diseases." The Madame looks at Jimmy and says, " Why do you want to get diseases?" and followed with, " If you are sure then I will take you." But again the Madame said, " Why?" "Well." Said Jimmy. "When I get home the Babysitter will **** me 'cos she likes cute little boys." "When my Dad takes the Babysitter home he will **** her in the layby." "When my Dad gets back my Mother will want ****ing to as a matter of course." "When my Dad goes to work my Mother will sort out the Milkman." "And he's the B****rd who ran over my Frog." "Now thats why I want all your diseases."
  24. Cats on the Grass is a code word in my house for boilie pult practise session.. No!!! wait it could mean boilies on the Cat...or in the Cat?? There are some repellent blue crystals you can buy but they fail after any sort of rain.
