  1. So we turn our backs on Europe and open up new trade deals with Donald Trump and the USA? Surely that is a seriously worrying prospect Having just come back from Copenhagen ,doesn't Europe appear more civilised than our friends across the water?
  2. Love him or loathe him-everyone can listen to him!! DAB radio or online!
  3. Nigel Farage to present daily radio chat show on LBC 05 January 2017 UK Politics Former UKIP leader Nigel Farage is to present a daily chat show on the London radio station LBC. The Nigel Farage Show will air from 19:00 to 20:00, Mondays to Thursdays, with the host describing it as "full of opinions, callers and reaction". He tweeted: "I invite listeners to agree with me, challenge me & together we can lead Britain's conversation." Mr Farage, a friend of US President-elect Donald Trump, is an MEP for South East England. He resigned as UKIP leader last summer, but returned on an interim basis after his successor, Diane James, resigned only 18 days into the job. Mr Farage's former deputy, Paul Nuttall, won the second leadership contest of the year. Mr Trump has said Mr Farage - among the first politicians to visit the president-elect after his victory last year - would make a "great" UK ambassador to the US, but Downing Street responded that there was "no vacancy". The former UKIP leader has previously taken part in occasional Phone Farage shows on LBC. The new regular slot begins next Monday.
  4. Happy New Year to all......I'm sure 2017 will be the year Theresa May makes Homelessness a thing of the past and everyone lives in a property of a decent standard.......yeah,I'm off to catch a Skate in Morecambe Bay..
  5. Well ......Boxing Day night..and I'll be watching the Christmas Eve recording of 'lady in the van'........while we all sip my own home-made mulled wine. Terrible waste of wine if you ask me-but everyone else enjoys it....
  6. Anyone like the stuff? Just had some with smoked salmon and creme fraiche and I must say I rather enjoyed it....
  7. I don't have a rattle.Islamic state (unsurprisingly) are claiming responsibility.
  8. GM foods are a huge issue for me-Europe has so far banned the production of them.If its a choice of EU or US influenced farming production methods, then I'll vote to stay IN.
  9. The massacre in the nightclub is just beyond comprehension My heart goes out to anyone who got caught up in the horrors. What is happening to this world?????
  10. Merry christmas to you all. I'm hoping to land a 7lb+ chub at redwell fishery near Carnforth, but I dont suppose santa can perfom miracles. All the best to everyone.
  11. Well....................when i started a topic about Romford Dogs i never expected a heated debate about animal cruelty!! It was my introdution to Greyhound racing and i am unlikely to go again!! I might set off a more neutral topic-the trokosi's of Togo in west africa perhaps???? I never meant to offend LOL
  12. Yes I'm hoping for an aussie win too. I fear NZ may prevail however. Should be a cracker. I feel for Wales, their crippling injuries may have cost them at least a semi-final place and Warren Gatland deserves huge praise for helping welsh rugby so much. Stuart Lancaster has been a tad disappointing.
  13. Who will win the Rugby Final?? Or does no-one give a ***t?
  14. Seeing a few bitches run round a sandy track,is far more appealing than visiting the bitch that is the mother-in-law.(She lives 6 miles from Romford)LOL As for the cuisine,my mention of Turbot was obviously very much tongue-in cheek. You get two choices at Romford dogs-hot DOG with chips or chicken nugget and chips-there are no further options Even a common Northener like myself was a bit bemused by the lack of cuisine options at the fast-food stall. Yes there is a dog track in Manchester but the mother-in-law was (allegedly) the real reason for the visit. Time for a very large glass of Badgers Golden Champion Ale.
  15. Four days into the clock-change ,and most of mine have not been put back 1 hour. What sort of a wife have I ?
  16. Had a 380 mile round -trip to Romford last week.for the greyhound racing. We set off friday morning, drove down, booked into the park inn near Grays and then set off to go to the dogs. We had the customary Pan Fried Turbot with Lobster Claws and Pernod Veloutte at the stadium restaurant then proceeded to steadily lose the best part of 80 quid. Was quite a enjoyable night actually , Has anybody else travelled a long distance to do something weird? Or am i just uniquely weird.? Up the Villa.
  17. Hamilton is a truly great driver, but it must be really nice to have such a brilliant car.
