  3. Spot on ayjay, my "Washing Up Bowl is like yours. For Washing up crockery & cutlery etc. Yanks term for washing up is "Washing up for Dinner" - ie washing ones hands prior eating!! (as I understand it) What we call washing up - they call it "Doing The Dishes".
  4. Just a word of caution - apparently they don't stand up very well (over time) to a Drill & Whisk!!! will probably last forever though, mixing by Hand.
  5. Not just for bait! can attach to box for odds & sods (rigs, feeders, winders etc) and very Rigid at whatever you choose to set the length/ depth you set it at. It won't go anywhere till you decide!!
  6. Re The Bucket - could even attach it to a Bankstick or Box via the "Hanging Hole" so would be to hand when fishing!!. Just swing the bucket handle out of the way!!
  7. Wife brought me this from Wilkinsons store today - a proper, sturdy bucket that folds up (Telescopic if you like) I plan to take it on Hol's, but might get another I can get dirty, for fishing over here. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjc-uO1xs7YAhVlK8AKHYocA58QFggnMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wilko.com%2Fmops%2Bbuckets%2Fwilko-collapsible-bucket%2Finvt%2F0435934&usg=AOvVaw08Rc_Z78q0gHbU1lpMp9K8 Can't go wrong for just a Fiver!! They also do a Bowl. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwj6kMfp0M7YAhViDMAKHd2WDs8QFggnMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wilko.com%2Fdish-drainers%2Bwashing-up-bowls%2Fwilko-collapsible-bowl%2Finvt%2F0435932&usg=AOvVaw0qrjEh5kKHG9o9hH8J8lhy
  8. Are you saying there has been no recent activity on here mate?? All. Since yesterday 4pm my time. """""""Sorry, no new content found."""""""""""""" Phone Well maybe due to the traditional January blues - returning to work on the 2nd & General crappy weather & crappy fishing here in UK!!
  9. What a great tip re the shared reel RUDD. I've only been fishing for about 45 years & still learning. (Though pre set up rods were mostly unheard of back in the day) I only have one quiver atm with just one rod already set up, but it will take 2 so will be using your idea this season Thanks. Martin.
  10. I once inadvertently created a New folder below my "Deleted Items" (a sub folder in Deleted Items as it turned out - I'm only a Man ) & so I kept on losing new stuff regarding a Holiday Booking last year. It was there when I logged in & saw the new email - Next time I logged in it was of course gone!! Fortunately my wife was able to re- send what we needed as she had kept it on hers. It took us both a while before we twigged what was happening - OK Wife saw it straight away when she looked at what I'd done!!
  11. I'm on Outlook email & there's a folder?? called "Deleted Items" from which I can click on & recover deleted emails.
  12. Centrepins!! - MMmmmmmmmmmmmm - Proper fishing (For those who've actually tried one for long enough that is!!) Yes the "Little Boy Fishin' " has a lot to learn - with a fixed spool!! https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjS7OOAhbPYAhVFGsAKHStOBaEQtwIIJzAA&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DrvXNIfGw9kc&usg=AOvVaw1sluzH2GhWotGOLOnRCybA Awww!! He's holding the line like he wishes he had a centrepin!!
  13. Here's the difference of opinion that keeps this much loved forum alive!! NO !! I only keep my poles & top kits in tubes - the Rods are well enough protected in rod bags!! (In the holdall) It's just down to personal preference - nothing's carved in stone.
  14. Around 1976 Phone - a dollar was about 25p Sterling (five bob) Not (more or less) 1 for 1, like it is today. All, Just wondering? In 1976 went crazy, a 20lb specimen was something like $500. What kind of money are we talking about today. Phone A couple of pair of Nylons (No not for me!!!) & cans of peaches would be much appreciated buddy!! Overpaid - Oversexed & Over here!!! (just a joke mate)
  15. Outside of Engineering, Physics & Chemistry - 1/2 a Micron doesn't even exist - AND varies from one second in time to another depending upon temperature!! (The coefficient of thermal expansion) 25 microns = 1 thousandth of an inch. 1 micron = 1 thousandth of a milimetre. At 20 degrees C
  16. I just take the Bus - Never driven (except the wife - Up the wall)
  17. OK so extend the straps with some 1 inch or so wide elastic inbetween from a dress making shop?? A bit of cutting & sewing needed - job done!!! Surely even just a mere man could do this one?? if not - get a "Grown Up" (the wife) to help .
  18. He doesn't need to expand ANY further than that - He owns the place!!!
  19. Yes & Yes Ken. What he should have done is put a sign up at the gate AND on his website is :- Pleasure fishing is by prior arrangement by telephone ONLY. That way he gets to say who can fish & who cannot (if say he recognises a cerain accent) & just say "Sorry mate - All the pegs are taken today". They'd get the inference eventually - but could prove nothing!!
  20. Maybe just having it as a Match venue - Open & Club, that way the fish are returned at each peg after "Weighing In" By the "Weighers In".
  21. OK Phone - so what are you??, by accident of birth (& that's all it is!!) I'm a West Yorkshireman by the same token!!.
  22. It's not about what I think Phone - It's more about the Integrity of the site & what it stands for!! To be fair - the owner had the decency to quote the countries of origin of the anglers he didn't want on his Land!! Not the colloquialisms !! (N's - C's & F's if you like)
  23. Yes Phone - it is Racist, but there are ways of doing it!!! All, OR maybe these the TAT and fish theft are independent issues. IT IS RACIST whether you say it or publish it. It would probably be a good idea for them to add "Niggers, Chinks & Frogs will be closely watched" I'm going with Gozzer on this one. It has to be some "IDIOT" carp pond. Phone - Fish theft is a huge problem in the UK mate - & yes it's mainly by east Europeans (mainly Carp are the target) Just think on Phone - Fishery owners livelihoods are at stake here. Rather think the "N" word is inappropriate on a friendly, online forum!! For two pins, I'd report you to Admin' !!!! In fact - I have!!!!!!!!!! There are words - Yes they are only words which are Nevertheless unacceptable these days!! Martin.
  24. Maybe that sign should have said "Random Vehicle & Angling luggage checks are carried out" " - "Failure to comply with these checks will result in a Lifetime Ban". That way, the owner would have been able to target Anyone he suspected without all the adverse publicity. Also then makes it possible for the police to be involved re any fish theft!! Any angler worth his salt would comply, bearing in mind there's clearly a problem at many venues. Let's not dress it up guys - there is a problem here!! Discouragement is surely partway towards a solution. Doesn't take long for word to get around + plenty of Handy Lads on most venues for back up.
