  1. try using a belt round your wrist (there are gadgets to buy but a belt works just as well) you will have to put a hole in the belt to get the right tightness unless you have got a very small waist and fat wrists
  2. we can fish in scotland without paying as well but we call it poaching
  3. this sort of thing is happening every where !

    trying out

you will need some flies but you can get them at any water you go to but it is cheaper to get them before you go , (just ask most people will help) or as a new idea you could tie your own . good luck with the fly fishing , dont give up it is a little bit different to start with but its worth the hardship in the end

    sea trout???

not to confuse or go into a debate about the sea trouts origins a sea trout is the same shape as a brown trout but depending on how long it has been out of the sea its colour is bright silver . as for your fly gear preferably 6-8# weight single handed trout rod will do the damage

  13. got fud up sitting waiting for the fish so went after them rising, the fly was the answer and that was ten years ago the bait rod hasnt seen the light of day this side of 1995 probably never will tight lines boys /girls (to be p.c)
  14. there is a very simple product on the market called seamless rings these are used where the dropper would be tied when you change flies the lenth of the dropper gets shorter and shorter well with the rings you cut off the dropper and tie on a new lenth . the rings are tied on with what ever knot you want eatch ring will have three knots on it the one from the line side the one to the next ring or your point fly and the one for the droper. they are very cheap about £2.50 for a pack of 10 and you can reuse them as long as you dont lose them i keep mine on a very large paper clip keeps them all to gether . worth a try and they dont get birds nests tight lines and have fun

  18. is there any one trying out or even doing salt water fly fishing ? or pike fly fishing if there is what type of flies work best on pike, poppers or wets. i have tryed pike with very limited sucsess .I got a 2lb jack (while trying to get it in i was convinced it was a double) i have spent hours trying for a springer on rivers with one or two in the bag for all of my money and time and here is a very worth while sport fish which is very badly thought of that can grow to masive sizes biger than anything you will catch in a pond or loch and the best of it all is the cost to go fishing for the fish of a life time on a rod and you can say the pull back just a bit !!
