I saw a numbers of postings on another thread here concerning pike matches i have run matches and fished others the ones I attend are well run and I hav,nt seen any mistreatment of the pike caught or any intendtional deep hooked pike as the majority are PAC members and care for their pike.On the matches i have ran I keep the numbers limited and i know the anglers who fish them, the fish that are caught are usually wieghed and return to the water within miniutes of being caught.As Mark Ward quoted these matches give people the chance to fish different waters amd myself included.I have noticed that some anglers are upset by these events being held so with great thought I shall not be running or attending them anymore so bang goes my annual trip to the Fens. But one thing I would like say you just have to walk down any canal,river, drain or lake you will find a noddie trying to fish for pike without any help or they dont care how they land the fish I know I have seen it on my local waters and had to remove the culprits with being a balliff I had the powers to do so. The point I am making is any beginner was welcome to watch my matches but needed the proper gear to take part.

I did some pointing for a person I was there for 2 hours when I quoted my price they moan but at the same they had a video fixed the fellow was there for 15 mins and more less charged the same price as I did for 2 hours but I had 40 mins traveling there and back plus getting the materials which was another hour so I thought I gave a fair price or I am in the wrong job

Hi Peter hope you are Ok mate, My dear wife it the nail on its head is why no big pike names fishes this event is what happens when they blank if they draw a bum peg. Ok folks thanks for your concearns but I do look after my fish as I said before the fish will only be in the tube or sack for no longer than 10 miniutes tops. Anyway back to the original question can anyone reccomend a decent online retailerdue to the fact I dont have a lot of spare time driver around visiting tackle shops in my area cheers JP.

Ok andy I will tell you I am fishing the British pike championship next month and just in case i actually catch something I can retain it for in case theres not a steward nearby, therefor it will be retained safely till its weighed

Yesterday afternoon when I arrived from work I decide to check myemails switched on the pute then nothing but a eternal loop switching from bios to windows blue screen of death then my pute restarting checking hard drive then blue screen again then bios and restarting then finally with hardware failture then loopstarted again so i thought sod it my motherboard has passed away. So it was a mad rush to my local computer supplies I picked up a new case,cpu, memory and motherboard rushed home stripped down the old pute salvaged the drives, sound cards and other bits and pieces. It around a hour to strip the old pute and build the new one then back on the net. Then I thought what lengths people go to just to get on the internet. But I was,nt missing my surfing time.

I am just building a website using bad fishing pics you know the ones with your Pb,s missing,funny backgrounds,bad haircuts of years gone by, being caught on camera un expected and so on.please bear with me the site is just a beta version at the moment but with the longer nights comming I will working on it more . so send your bad pics to me cheers JP.
