Sorry Moto. The RNLI have NO obligation other than a moral one. Moreover they don`t want the beaurocratic interference that would be tied to government funding. Can you imagine a health and safety officer deciding when it was safe to launch a lifeboat etc. Every RNLI volunteer I`ve ever spoken to is completely against the idea. Besides. If it aint broke don`t fix it.

Sorry Nick, just wasted another 2 minutes of my life. We both know that it`s a pointless exercise unless sufficient anglers sign up (hundreds of thousands not the few thousand that will bother). I haven`t had a reply to my missives since Benboy promised me he was all for conservation. He stated that he was going to press Johny Foreigner to make massive cuts!!! Well thats one liar I won`t be hearing from again.

I don`t mind at all. I`ve never been allowed to smoke at work. Myself and Jabee were in Scotland soon after the ban started there. It was soon apparent that the bar went quiet when smokers went outside for a fag. Even smokers that had just gone back in, used it as an excuse to go back out for another. The craic was much better outside.

I had nothing but trouble with NTL. But since they`ve re-branded as Virgin Media things have looked brighter. I`ve gone the `dedicated` BB cable route, it`s very fast and reliable. But the price is not for the faint hearted. £37 pm for a 20meg service.

At Minehead you can go boat fishing or fish from the shore. There`s a kiosk (tackle shop) on the harbour wall. Just remember the tides can realy push through. So grippers are a must.
