  2. HI Les, Hmm not sure if that ling wouldhave been beaten, But i have a feeling it may have been the same wreck we fished, Me personally i couldnt get through the colies on jumbo hokkies, and 1lb of lead, There was just 2 many, 3 every time without fail, And not 1 was under 1lb most averaging 2 lb going up to 3... Same with everyone on that day realy, Tho the skipper told us it was a good wreck for ling and if you cn get through the collies there is a good chance of a double figure ling... Most of our day was realy spent drifing the haddy banks, And ive never seen so many in my life, They were really daft, quite good haddock also, QUite interesting that they wer all stuffed to the max with brittle stars...
  3. When your dragging them through rough kelpy ground, And over the top of underwater mountains etc, i can assure you a 2lb coddling can still bend the rod over some None of this clean beach stuff
  4. Hi Less fished a few miles up the road at kinlochbervie before.... Loads of haddies, cod, whiting on the charter we where on, This was about 120 foot deep skipper told us he had a skate off a similar area tho not sure if that was a fluke or what, We where a good steam off shore perhaps the inshore lochs around that area might be deeper/beter skate ground tho i havnt a clue, Would make for a great we exploration trip...

  9. Ive heard all about the spider hitch and been told to use it for diffrebt situations, Can tie the bimini ok but it just takes that bit to long if needed at speed, but for the life of me, i just canni do the spider hitch for some reason
  10. Hi Folks, Suddenly i have the urge to P*ss about and make a website(Well the content anyway...!!! Except im totaly useless at all the techy stuff ie like making templates... Does anybody have any old/simple/unused/unwanted templates which they wouldnt mind letting me use for a fishing website??? If so it would be most appreciated, and most certainly credited to that person... Cheers Shaun

    Bass rig/s

In the surf using 2 or 3 hook flappers you will find most of the bass will take the top hook, Which suggest they like a bait suspended of the bottom slightly moving in the current, So maye try making a rig with the top hook and maybe more suspended slightyly of the bottom which flap in the tide, For the surf the bass that ive seen caught have been mainly on rag and on peelers, I think its deffo best when theres a fairly big surf running(on a big tide) Ive never seen any on flat days from a surf beach
  16. I never fished the rhus but but have been toled like the rest of the clyde its been desimated by commercials, very little left
  17. Haft to admit it was abit freeky tonights show, I do believe it was derek that was moving the glass about the table, Everyone in the room got phsyced out it apeared with a good number leaving cos of diffrent experiences, Where you the guy who left cos of a choking feeling??? Well there was 2 or 3 with the same thing, bizzare and unexplainable, A good laugh that show is though
  18. Alan Its interesting all the stuff about fish farming, Realy a sad prospect as well, Just when you think theres a sensible answer to maybe reduce commercial activity for a few years, A loophole comes round and bites you in the ass... Hows things anyway? Norrie tells me you might be interested in a trip to Amble?? IDe certainly be up for that!
  19. The show was well good tonight.. The moving table was not very slyly done tho Notice there was a sheet on top of the table, Around 3 of the othe rpeoples fingers on the table the table cloth was smooth, around dereks fingers the cloth was crinkled and bunched up suggesting he had ben moving the table Very interestin tho
