  4. thought this was quite funny.. one of our 4 cats here in MRU This one's called tiddles (i know i know totally unoriginal name... i didn't name him) tiddy sleeping in smallchop's (the dog's) basket...... notice the dribble lol tiddy realising i'm taking his pic.... not impressed
  5. lol.. awe man, suppose thats one thing i aint missing much.. bloody traffic! saying that tho the traffic goin through port louis (the city - mauritius) is absolute murder and i avoid it at all costs.. it takes 30 mins to do a 2 minute stretch... & in the festering heat.. all that noise, everyone beeping.. it aint fun tellin ya.
  6. hate is a strong word not to be used lightly but i can well and trully say i HATE religion.. it has more to be responsible for than many realise.. apart from war it breeds seperatism which leads to or creates racism. the big problem with the UK at the mo.. far to many concessions if u ask me.. to me religions are merely socially accepted cults which should all be bannished to the dark ages of history. the primative mind needs reasurance that someone will be there in times of desperation.. it's all in the head and fables & fairy stories passed from generation to generation. i come from a mixed background, mum a christian background, dad a hindu background.. i went to sunday school as a child and went to a convent school when older. I was taught by nuns before i went to secondry school but purely because the school had a good rep for education and many mixed backgrounds, i opted out of religious services but boy did it open my eyes to how the mind can be moulded into a narrower shape.. i really really thank my parents for not instilling religion in me.. thankfully for me and my sister the generation chain was broken.. i feel sorry for some of my cousins here in mauritius, they know no different and will sadly pass this crap onto their children (wether it's christian or hindu - to me all the same) like a cursed baton continuing on with the 'chain of narrow-mindedness'.. it's wasted energy that could be focused on something productive. life is short, why waste your time and energy on it.. bonkers... as man evoles it will thankfully irradicate these cave man fables and new doors will open re; PC, war and racism. ok jesus may have existed & probably did.. but to me he was just like a 'david blane' of his day and managed to work magic on people.. will there one day be a religion based on david blane's miraculous levitation trickery... i think not, the mind has evolved so that the masses know what's real and what's not... religion WAS a way of controlling the masses as back then people couldn't tell the diff... sadly it's still controlling people i'm not saying it's THE main reason PC and racism exists, just saying if u look back further and much much deeper u will see religion plays a huge roll... dang, think u might be able to tell religion is a pet hate of mine lol.. ahh well had me rant.. sorry if i've offended some people i dont mean to, i just see the same as 'UK-Fishing-Tackle.co.uk'... a sad sad link between religion & political correctness

  11. yer & maybe some starker lighting, like a bright lamp near the top left (out of view obviously).. it may cast a nicer shadow offering both a sense of perspective plus a slight distraction to any fuzzy lines around the objects.

  13. i see what your saying ian but most of these ARE scams only a tiny percentage are genuine.. it's happened to a friend of mine, he's a doesn't get out much and is a bit naive so unfortunatly got tricked.. he's since researched the issue in much detail. put it this way, it's not the girl u see in the photo it's some fat ulgy russian bloke sat at his computer sending these cute girly pics of him until the dialouge via email become so that eventually the question is posed..(by this time your sucked in) 'i have no money please send me some so i can get to the uk' once you've sent the money, that'll be the last time you'll hear of fat ugly russian bloke and his cute girly pics..

  15. kool pic there m8 kinda reminds me when i was a kid.. used to be a coal mine nearby with similar rusty old carts, we used to wrench open the lever on em and the coal spewed out blocking the line until the carrots came and shoveled it clear.. tutt tutt naughty kids eh the guys used to chase us on our bmx's, we were petrified of the 'carrots' as we called em.. coal workers in orange jump suits lol ahh memories
  16. dunno about question 1 as i've never had any of my pics printed (yet) but i hear what your saying. i'm still in the colour balance / sharpen category at the mo so others here are probably much more qualified than me to comment, my opinion can only be based on personal faffing. tho i've today figued out how to put text on a photo, woohooooo!!! i'm trying to learn some more about photoshop at the mo so gimme a couple of weeks and i'll be able to confirm if monkies can produce a decent pic hehehe as for defining the word 'photograph' sorry had to... google it http://www.google.mu/search?hl=en&q=define%3A+photograph A photograph (often just called a photo) is an image (or a representation of that on e.g. paper) created by collecting and focusing reflected electromagnetic radiation. The most common photographs are those created of reflected visible wavelengths, producing permanent records of what the human eye can see. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photograph whaaa!?!?!?.... shocking edit: hehehe sorry u asked for that one CJ
