  1. Yeah, same to you Ken and thanks for taking the time and trouble to copy and send me all that music. Have a good 'un.
  2. That sounds very handy. Going to stay with my sister in Cromer on Monday, so hopefully I will get up there before it starts. They usually get it fairly bad from what I gather on the North Norfolk coast.
  3. Merry Christmas Sam and all the best for the new year. Maybe I will bump into yer in the Spring when the bass arrive down the river!
  4. Yeah same to you Fivebellies. Have a Proper Bo Happy Crimbo...
  5. Elton, good taste that man. A Proper Bo Happy Crimbo to you. Rock on...
  6. Emz-what good taste you've got... . A Proper Bo Happy Crimbo to ya..
  7. We were told to walk for about 45 minutes along the Dirty Wall from the Martello tower. That used to get us up to the tall aerials area which you could see behind you. There are groynes along past the Martello, and some spots here tend to be a bit snaggy, but can fish ok. ( back towards town ). It is deep all along here mainly and you do not always need to cast far. Strong lateral currents also. I have caught cod here mid flood and mid ebb and do not really know the best times to fish it. If Mr Mick from Ipswich way sees this he will give you some good info for sure. Good luck.........P.s We went half that distance yesterday ( Clacton way ) and had a codling, few dabs and whiting. Thought we would go closer to home as Shingle Street seemed a bit hit and miss lately.
  8. Just got me Bo Selecta cd out from last Christmas. "Proper Crimbo"- an all time classic.. Also liked ???"Don't let the bells end", by The Darkness. Rock on...
  9. Nice one Chesters, hadn't thought of that...
  10. Someone told me to try nicotine patches. How are you meant to keep them alight?
  11. Think I may have done this one last year but hey, it's all about fun!!! "Rockling around the Christmas tree" "God (Rod ) rest you merry gentlemen"
  12. Nice one Sam. I remember fishing the Blackwater that year. Brrrggghhh!!!! Have yer been down the Crouch lately? Been concentrating on Suffolk fer cod so won't get down there possibly till Spring for the bassing etc................
  13. I recently got a Kodak DX 6490 after reading quite a few articles/reviews. It is an SLR style of camera. Looks like one anyway. 10 x optical zoom and 4.0. megapixel. Well pleased with the quality etc of the pictures and after being quoted about 200 squid for it, I found a new one on Amazon for about 150 squid including postage.
  14. Wonder if they would do a deal. I fancy the road roller thingy, the false leg and the roman helmet...
  15. Yeah Dave, after 8 pints and a curry I would be tempted ......................to buy that plate too.
  16. Your post has certainly made me think about using larger hooks Mike. I hate getting deep hooked fish, and I can see how using bigger hooks would largely solve the problem ...........
  17. Hi Sean, do you remember this same seller from a while back on here? Think they were called "riskyclothes" or something like that before they scrubbed that identity. A Proper Bo' Happy Crimbo by the way...
  18. Funnily enough Sam, it will have to be daytime as I am taking my nephew. Nothing serious; he is just getting a bit keen and it will be a bit of casting practice for me. I agree with what you are saying though, considering the conditions. Ryford, I will try to remember to take one of those.
  19. We will be fishing the beach at Bradwell over the weekend , so will be interesting to see what develops. Will take a camera just in case.
