  1. I never found out my self, but thanks for trying mate
  2. Asuming you are not on a wind up Bouys are a bright colour to avoid that ! and more often than not if they do get hit they are diflected as a floating ball would be. Not many poeple would risk a fouled Prop or Rudder for the sake of seconds worth of effort for a minute course change so every one I know would make the effort to aviod any thing that is floating and possibly marking something, marking Being primary function of a bouy. I get the impression that you are not in the position to go to sea. yes you can drop a pot at the end of a pier If you are prepared to stand over it as I can garentee some one will nick it other wise
  3. My old grandad could hit a darning needle stuck in fence post from 25 foot away with a catapult, and kill a Rabbit with a gypsy dart from about 35 yards, I dont think he was as good as trhat old boy though.
  4. Id love to find out Cory, although If he Isnt Valencian he might not Know they like us all have regional supperstitions. I come from A Irish family and just about every thing is bad luck, Birds tapping on a window, bird in the house, Dreaming about fish!!! (I do that all the time Proberly why Im so unlucy!),Lilac,Stiring things with a knife, shoes on a table,The colour green,Walking under Ladders,Egg shells give you warts, Toads Cure warts, Silver birch is an unlucy tree, Any thing to do with Thirteen, Dont ever give an empty purse as a present, and never hand any one a pair of scissors To name but a few. I try just to keep to my seven turn blood knot Hang up and leave all the rest to my Mum to worry about
  5. My ex misses was from Valencia I remember her walking under a ladder once (not just us that gets upset by that one) and totaly freeking out She found a acessable window Cill and started tapping it with both index fingers and chanting Lagarto wich means Lizard! never found out the significance of the Lizard or the window cill although she turned out to be a bit of a Nutter any way! I always do my Blood knots with seven turns just seems a good number I get quite stressed when using heavy lines and cant neatly get my seven turns in!
  6. Not only did I understand it I though I had written it One thing that I did think Odd It was a lot easer to read than Text speak Wich drives me mad,
  7. Squid baits sort out the early hounds around the IOW and Selsey before they get on the Crabs, I think Iv caughtt just about every thing on sqiud with the notable exeption of Wrase, having said that I rarely target Wrase, If I did I bet squid would catch one.
  8. I fully understand that Leon and I gues that a large majority og poeple will send a personal letter, but there are or is a huge amount of Anglers that that rightly or wrongly will opt not to campian for fear of embarressment or being not litarate enough, I will endeavour to put together a letter although I fear it will come across like a badly written CV or Job application and the recipiant will stop reading it owing to poor complination or lack of understanding of the sailiant pionts. as I said it was just a suggestion
  9. Guys just a sugestion and Im sorry if its already been mentioned, I have never writen to a Member of Parliament let alone an MEP, and am not confident that I would get the piont across in an articulate enough manor if I did,I have always made a piont of staying out of the politics of our sport on purpose that is up untill now, This bit of proposed law has made me re think this Stance. To cut to the chase, Is there in existance , or could someone compose a generic letter that could be down loaded and sent to either our local MP or MEP showing our dismay at this proposal. It could be pinned at the top of the politics page on AN for the less confident of us to use to register our outrage at this piece of corrupt law. I would be the first to use it! I was supprised concidering the amount of Anglers in the country so few names on the Petition! early days I know but the impact this will have on the sport I was expecting to see thousands not hundreds of names. Thank you FB
  10. All the very best Mate! have a good one!
  11. Two million Seals cant be wrong
  12. Goat Curry as in Indian style or Curry goat Jamaican Stylie ? Lucky Bugger either way
  13. one of the problems with Tebbits remark was he and his father hailed from the relitivley affluant south where work was a bike ride away. it didnt translate to the North, where the majority of unemployed poeple at the time resided. the inferance was all the long term unemployed in the country, where in that situation by design, a remark that was and is offensive to a lot of willingly hard working poeple if given the chance. As you can Gather I am no fan of Tebbit I did however admire his tenacity in the face of the Brighton bombing

  21. I know greg both catagorys affected my family.
  22. He hoodwinked you. My old grandad was a cheif steward in the officers Mess at the Academy in Woolwich and at woolwich Barracks and a Bat man to a senior officer in the royal Horse Artilary, tea making was something he prided him self on. He used to blow a fuse at poeple putting milk in Earl grey, I have carried on this habbit I think milk in fact ruins it , and dosnt sit well with the oil of bergamont that flavuors it. He used to make him self what he called Sergent majors tea Wich looked like varnish sweetend and colourd with condenced milk. this is what he had in the Trenches so I suppose it just stuck with him. that was his own preferance mind you and wouldnt be offered to geusts. Also he insistted on a Bone china cup, God help any one who washed it with detergant.
  23. Ice tea is nice I make it with darjeling (sp) and lemon for some reason darjeling dosnt go cloudy as it cools! but you have to start the day with a mug of PG dash of milk and Bacon and egg sandwich black pepper and daddys sauce that would choke a donkey.
