  1. And when yer own government are allowed to hoard data and device vulnerabilities and hack their citizens, you know we're all f'ked.
  2. I use my mobile browser for facebook. They thought they were being clever trying to make you download messenger to access pm's on a phone. Trick is to use the browsers own "desktop version" option and fools fb in to thinking you are on a desktop. Im close to deleting it all together though. Its all just garbage i see on the timeline these days.
  3. My aunty is real bad for it. At one point her account started posting all on its own, pretending to be her to get people to click on links she had apparently shared, that then try to get you to install a facebook app...or rather, its more of a plugin than a mobile phone app tbf. We twigged cause the stuff was completely out of character. Shame on facebook for allowing them to get too far to begin with through their system. Not a single app/plugin thing on my facebook profile. I also use the browser not the mobile app, for added paranoia.
  4. The point you are all missing is this has nothing to do with facebooks privacy policy. While yes you do agree to be targeted with ads by facebook and from the apps you enable on facebook from a 3rd party. you as a single entity agree to these terms when sign up to FB and when you enable an app such as "who is your evil sidekick, what you look like as a woman, quizes etc". What happened here are people using those stupid apps (cory im looking at you) and cambridge analytica hoovering up those users details who installed the garbage BUT the apps were also harvesting their friends info (who didnt install ghe app) when they shouldnt have. I have an agreement with facebook, not cambridge analytical. So the line "you know what you signed up for" is completely irrelevant here.
  5. Still the odd rare bit if snow around here from weeks ago
  6. With barely straw as an algae inhibitor its important that its on the surface for it to be effective. Dumping a whole bale in wont do much as most of it will be submerged. Put it in mesh tubes, like sausage casings if you imagine, and float them. We were thinking about it on a 102 acres i cant remember how many bales we calculated but it was a lot!
  7. No thaw here even in glasgow. Main roads are clear but side streets are still as bad as a couple of days ago, more tracks to drive on though but very thick compacted snow.
  8. Is it even a tree ? Looks like a bush to my untrained eye
  9. Dont you know, its gods will that you do it. He acts in mysterious ways.
  10. Its not very often it gets this extreme, scotland anyway. Ive takin the opportunity to get to know my new 4x4 i bought 2 weeks ago. Come across so many abandoned cars here and still a lot of side streets with about 1ft of the stuff. Its all good fun and good practice.
  11. At a certain depth and/or temperature gritting is useless.
  12. Really ? ****. Im sat in tesco underground car park just now and looks apocaliptic outside. Strong winds picking up snow along with snow coming down. I dont mind but its the idiots with snow covering 90% of their cars driving around im more worried about.
  13. Isnt that for the likes of grub tails. Looks like you mount some sort if rubber lure on it.
  14. Llandudno? Is that next to mos eisley spaceport ?
  15. If the quality of the ambassaduer 6501s they done for abu is anything to go by. it will probably be absolutely shite.
  16. If the account has been setup on thunderbird as IMAP (i suspect it is) then changes in thunderbird will take effect on the mail server (deleting and sent items take effect on server too). Each mail provider have different policies/rules/etc for handling 'deleted' emails. What you want to do is set it up as a POP3 account. If its POP3 already, go to account settings in thunderbird (under tools i believe) and look for settings relating to trash/deleted you want to uncheck the likes of "delete trash on exit" and "delete from server after x days/months" or something to that effect. Setting it as pop3 will not show any sent emails or ones marked as important if you login to webmail to check emails too. Its all downloaded locally so no changes made on server. Alternativley to keep it as IMAP and benefit from its features then set up a new folder/category on thunderbird call it archived or bin or something unique and just move unwanted emails to there till you decide to delete yourself.
  17. If thats the only command you entered in the command prompt dont worry about it they wont have access to anything. Its a little bit more complicated than just one command. You would also need to give them an ip and probably need to add some port forwarding instructions in the router. Scammers are more likely to try get you to download teamviewer. Which was probably the next step if you hadnt hung up.
  18. Does "Assoc" Sound familiar ? The key you gave isnt unique. Its not your license key. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-security/i-received-a-call-from-someone-claiming-to-be/f446dc12-541a-4dc9-8324-eebf251c4c4f
  19. What was the command john. Also how did you obtain your copy of windows. Im wondering how they got your license key and phone number of infact the command was one to display the product key at all. 100% scam though.
  20. She a gobshite. Theres a clip of her with scoffield and holly willabooby. She was going on about judging children by their names. She doesnt like kids hanging around with her kids if they have a chavvy name. She dislikes kids and judges them with geographical names too, then holly asks her what her daughters name is..... "India"
  21. Ayjay, One of my favorites was "johnny loves methadone" up the canal. Got so used to seeing it i was sad to see it go https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3860/18813685028_e637eee256_b.jpg

    Iran

Who said they were poor, iran is not entirely poverty stricken and doing better than probably india and what makes the phones so nice, You can pickup a smart one for 50 quid. But whats that got to do with anything ? People seem a bit fed up with their government and are telling them so. We lack any enthusiasm here to do the same thing. Phone, um is the answer narcissism ?
