nope absolutly bang on ther! i used hearn as an example as indeed he was the first angler that came to mind! without wanting to sound like a sicaphant ?(eeerm you know wat i mean lol) he is probly one of the more credible super star anglers!and im sure like most other top anglers he rose to the top with hard graft! but once ther at the top its made very easy for them to get that catch and stunning photo for the mag! i think this gives newbys and kids the wrong impression! sorry

cheers for that i did wonder why yous a closed face? when ive been using a fixed spool for years trotting! always just shut down the line on a take with my finger then engaged the bail arm with my reeling hand! spose it gives you more control quicker! only ever had one closed face (brought over from the states) and just found it a pain! but think it was a cheapy! and designed for bait casting not trotting!

great fun dray poking! used to use a telescopic roach pole! good fun as a kid slotting them with my bsa super sport loaded with hollow tips! grown out of the killing for the sake of it thing now tho!

nope packing in clay is a well known method to cook them! the clay bakes hard and on removal you brake the now hard clay and the spines, skin and guts come away with it! anybody thats done a survival course with the MOD will tell you that! and they do tast like pork hence the name hedgehog! its true i tells ya! as for sombody saying quot[ think of the 1000s of tones of fish that ar sloughtered every year to feed cats! etc] im afraid that is cobblers, most tinned cat food like dogs is made up of offel from cows, chickens etc my cat is evil like most cats! but a bell round his neck sorts the problem!
