  1. Yeah i was looking at that shelter for a fiver... Figure even if it blows away its worth a look.
  2. Hold up here not all is bad! This is quite a bad view to take! When i was about 10 my parents bought me a £8 telescopic rod set from happy shopper (which seem to have gone under) and that was my first rod.. I guess my dad just wanted to see if I enjoyed fishing before buying me anything worth money. He hadn't fished for years himself so had no tackle which made lil starter kit like that perfect at the time. I figure that we should be happy for kits like that to get younger anglers in to fishing and then of course when you have more experience you obviously move on to better gear. Just because you wouldn't dream of buying it now you know what your doing it doesn't mean its bad? I think its great you can get starter gear at that sort of price. I only had it for a short time as it really is cheap stuff but its great to find out if you like the sport or not.
  3. Spawning? Just grabbing at straws here.
  4. Obviously not that short... I can go buy loads over the chippy.
  5. Nice Roach man... Scales are in really good condition!
  6. I figure a species is a species and it doesn't matter what water it comes from... The biggest should counts as a record.
  7. aint there a chance of the bait coming off?
  8. Ha! They probably came from a copper trying to arrest someone from McClusky's

    ADVICE

Ooo it says the dia on the pic on ebay? Never noticed. Yeah if maxima had a line of the same stuff at 0.19mm it would be 4.something lb i'd say.

    ADVICE

Na i'd say if it says 4lb it will break at 4lb... It could have a smaller diameter that some other 4lb line and if you were to buy say 6lb or 8lb it would look the same as some 4lb lines. Ok i get what i mean
  12. Pretty much the same as me.. most of mine is from the Thames or a little river near me known as The Gunge.
  13. So... Whats so special about bloodworms?? Never used one or seen one.
  14. Umm I do know Matt Hayes is a top angler Kempo.. what I was getting at was the blokes main selling point is that its endorsed by Matt Hayes but he can't even spell the name right in his auction.
  15. Ok i give up... toooooooo much for me!
  16. Ha "THESE BAGS ARE SPONSORD BY MATT HAYS WHICH SHOWS THAT IT IS A VERY GOOD BAD" Is Matt Hays a good angler then? I know Mr. Hayes isn't too bad.
  17. Crikey some big Cats on that second link. Bet they took some catching.
  18. I'd agree with that! It must be happening quite often from all reaches of the sport. Its just seems the pike anglers are worse at it than the rest so get caught more.
  19. Wow... a few big Eels. Bet that 4lb+er gave a good account of itself!!
  20. wow that watercourse looks just.. well.. odd!
  21. lol naaaaaa i'll be alright I think. Reckon i've got the jist of it from this.
  22. Wow you lot not worn out your keyboards yet? I've worn out my eyes reading it all Someone should write a novel about it as a fishy thriller!
  23. There was a Red Bull spillage and all the fish sprouted wings. In the mass confusion at their new found ability they all rushed to fly away and rubbed against each other thus shedding lots of scales. Plausible?? No?? Oh ok then
