this was the result of our blown off tope trip with ian burrett...

 

 

 

r eh? get those 80lb

 

the eel was about 28lbs... the wrasse were up to 2 and a hlaf but tere were so many of them, we must have caught about 30-40 between us, plus a good dose of pollack for good measure. Shame peters conger dropped off as we tried wrestling with the drop net! Next time peter eh? Get those 80lb long leaders on the reels!

On Thurs am I ordered 80 Lb line. It arrived today !!!!!!!! . I will be back down there soon as I have a score to settle !!.

Funny though when it arrived I thought the drop net was too big !!

We spent a eternity getting tthe first eel into it. Wasnt so lucky with the second despite 3 of us trying .

If anybody has any advice about how to land eels of this size by getting them into a drop net please tell me. Net is triangular with sides almost 4 feet long.

We managed to find shelter on the shore David but it really was windy out to sea.
