Heads Up> More Cold Weather on the Way

Just a heads up for the coming weekend /nextweek

Weather is forecast to turn very cold again over the weekend and into next week

with a strong easterly wind and snow flurries. Tempertures could be close to freezing during the day in Eastern and Southern area's, would expect servere frost to develope during the night time.

Snow showers becoming heavy on eastern coastal areas,with a threat of more general snow

later on in the week towards the weekend.

Wrap up warm in you are thinking of going fishing it will feel bitter in the wind

Might even be colder than the christmas/new year cold spell

True, but it's nice to see some proper winter weather rather the than mild,wet, dross our winter's have been for the last decade or so.

Nice to have a normal year in 2008,instead of another baking year,Hope 2009 is the same.

Still not a great deal here, but I've lit more handwarmer and got it in my pocket tonight, anyway, big girl's blouse that I am

We have loads of snow here, the 3 of us were out having a snowball fight, Matthew went in and Liam & I were sledging down the drive and made a snowman I just love the snow. One year I drove up to my friends at Rugby because they had some snow and went sledging at Draycot Water!

 

Will be out again later providing it dosen't disappear overnight, looking good at the moment.

Don't think it makes any difference wether it's cold or not where I am, rivers have been fishing very poorly since the autumn

snow isnt cold its a blanket to keep frost out

tench and crucian coming out at the pond at the moment but hard to catch

Light dusting of snow here, about 8", school closed (maybe they had a flood?), but we didn't find out until we got there, then went for a nice drive, roads seem a little empty for this time of week...odd.

 

Good grief, how did we ever win two world wars?

 

Edit: Just took a picture of the snow with a ruler showing depth, actually 10".
