Wrong flies!

Went fishing on a new rainbow venue last night and started with a small yellow and black fly, no idea what it is called. Caught 8 rainbows in 40 minutes and then lost the fly on fish number 9.

After that fished for another 2 hours and worked through the fly box and didn't have another take.

Obviously there were plenty of fish but couldn't buy a bite. Frustrating or what, still I suppose 8 fish is a good evening.

Have to tie up some more small yellow and black flies.

Don't take much to frustrate you does it?

 

Catch 8 then get the hump coz you can't get 9 !!!

 

Do the words GREEDY and BUGGER mean anything to you?

Yellow and black! were they feeding on wasps?

The frustrating thing was not that I only caught 8, I wish that I could do that every time I go, it was because they would only take that particular fly and it was the only one I had like it. There were obviously plenty of fish and they were obviously catchable so why wouldn't they take anything else?

Of course they could have gone off the feed so your yellow and black fly need not have been the only fly that would have caught!
