Yes and No for me.

We folks answering this poll are lucky enough to live in the "civilised" parts of the Western world. The fact we have homes, PCs, telephones and electricity already means we're privileged and likely to know similar people who have an investment in remaining 'civilised'.

Out there in the great big world I reckon life is generally a lot more difficult and 'morality' is a luxury that a lot can't afford.

Funnily enough this reminds me of the "there's no such thing as a bad dog, only bad owners" debate.

Bleeding heart liberal pinko, with bacon on top.

Don't think so mate, morality is free, so usually people who have nothing material put all they can into what they have - family.

As I bit into the nectarine, it had a crisp juiciness about it that was very pleasurable - until I realized it wasn't a nectarine at all, but A HUMAN HEAD!

I just wonder when people are voting 'yes' to 'are people basically decent', are they forgetting the train carriages full of people who turn their backs on a mugging? How about the crowds of gawpers who allow people in their midst to get away with shouting 'jump' to a mentally disturbed man?

Just a quickie - surely if you know somebody by name and you find out that they a rogues, ot people who will break the law without thinking - they will no longer be in your list of "friends"

Won't they?

If only life was that simple :D

Where I was brought up Klienie a proportion of the the poeple I was brought up around would steal at the drop of a hat just not from thier own, That is a morality of sorts and a ethical code that a lot of poeple could learn from today, every one brought knocked off gear so few where in a position to moralise any way!

Trustworthyness is without a dought a virtue. But thier are poeple in the world who I like, But I would not trust them as far as I could kick them in my Slippers

Ahemmmm, parking attendants.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Can't reply either way. I know quite a lot of people who are basically decent, but not always h0nest.

The two aren't always compatible.

yes and yes for me.

as five bellies said most of us have had stuff that fell off a truck but class ourselves as basically honest.

I remember a few years back i went fishing in the mangroves and there propped up on a rock was a five foot fishing rod with line still in the water,

There was no one else there and no car around, after fishing for 2/3 hours went home with the rod.

didnt hand it in to the police tho, does that make me dishonest, and to be honest i'm glad i didn't cos it's a great boat rod.

On the other hand i saw a young woman drop a roll of notes, picked it up and caught up with her and gave the roll to her, she said it was her $500 mortgage payment.

Cheers Fred
